Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard will receive a guard of honour when he plays his final home game for the club on Saturday, sources have told ESPN FC.
Both the Reds and their weekend opponents Crystal Palace will take part in the tribute to the midfielder, sources said.
It will be Gerrard's last game at Anfield -- and his penultimate match for the Reds -- after a 17-year first-team career with the club. The former England captain is leaving Liverpool at the end of the season to join Major League Soccer side LA Galaxy.
As part of Saturday's tribute, the club are set to organise a prematch mural on the Kop, made up of thousands of individual cards held up by fans.
Liverpool will honour club legend Steven Gerrard before his last game at Anfield on Sunday.
Gerrard himself formed part of a guard of honour last Sunday at Stamford Bridge, where Liverpool's players lined up to applaud on new champions Chelsea.
