Exactly - Hendo isn't a world beater but compared to the other midfield options of Lucas, Can, Allen, Rossiter etc he is Graeme Souness - even if this lad is bang average it's an improvement
Being thrown in at the deep end could be the making of him rather than getting lost in our system - is he the same nationality as "The Brain" ?
On the other hand, I'm not very knowledgeable about football but I do have very low expectations. I still have high hopes for Benteke, Lallana, Markovic, Sakho, Ings, Lucas etc.
Before they sign is when you have to be objective - and objectively if your highlight reel makes you look slow and plodding with a poor touch and little imagination, there isn't much hope is there? Hope I'm wrong but we have a habit of hyping up youngish unknowns that we pay big prices for. A few months later everyone's saying how shit they are...
The last time I criticized a new signing like this, I got torched on here too.

I have to say that Klopp has a very good record at developing young midfielders.
He signed Gundogan from Nurnberg when he was 21. Kagawa from Osaka when he was 21. Sven Bender from 1860 Munich when he was 20. Brought Sahin back from loan at Feyenoord when he was 20.
Bodes well for Grujic as well as Can, I think.
