I hope we use him on RW and he is good, it will save us shitloads for our Striker we desperately need, hopefully Thommo's team sheet was what Kenny had planned.

Hahaha. Why do you hate Squiggles, Peter?
conceited, patronising little prick with a quite ludicrously inflated opinion of himself, imo.

and he's always fucking wrong, too.

That's twice in two weeks you've attacked me completely unprovoked. I find it strange because I have no problem with you whatsoever.

The ignore feature is simple to use. Go for it.

The ban feature is even easier to use, & if Peter doesnt pack it the fuck in I'll use it.

I thought Merson was bang on.

Glen Johnson can't defend for toffee.

As for Johnson's reply, the alcoholic drug-user has done more for Arsenal than Johnson ever will for Liverpool, in all likelihood. (even if he is a shit pundit these days)

There's no doubt at all that Glen Johnson was a fantastic bit of business by Portsmouth. That said, I still think he's an excellent footballer and before we give up on him, I'd love to see him given a run at right midfield with Kelly behind him. In any variation of a 4-5-1 formation, I think it has potential.
I agree, I think he's one of the more talented players in our squad but he's not doing himself justice at present.

I like Johnson. I don't think he is as bad a defender as is sometimes made out. Stick him in a well organized side that can defend as a whole and we'd get the benefit of a good footballer who can provide a valuable attacking option.

As things stand though, yeah, he's not having a great time of things... but then, he's not alone.

I like Johnson too but I feel him and Liverpool just aren't a good match at the moment and it would be better for both parties if we sold him(we need to get a decent price of course).

He'd be ace in Italy or Spain.

The fact that so many people are advocating Johnson to play in what for him is a secondary position, and for a long time now, speaks volumes. It first says what we really know that defending is not his best attribute. It secondly says something else we all know that Kelly, who is really a centre back, is a better proposition at right back than an England international.

I have no problems with the idea and would quite like to see Johnson and Kelly in tandem, as I think that Johnson would be a better proposition to Dork in that position.

On form I am quite happy with Johnson, his attacking abilities more than compensate for his shortcomings in defending, a bit like Riise, but similarly if he is not getting forward well you may as well have a solid defender in there. It must also be pointed out that in the last couple of games he has defended like a cunt.

regards

Johnson has been shite far too often and was SHOCKING against blackburn however Merson, who lets not forget actively enjoys slagging Liverpool off on Sky, should not be saying "cant defend for toffee" etc etc....

He is a fucking cunt and Johnson was right to point it out, now he needs to do his talking on the pitch.

I'd sell him. Get him off the wage bill.

There's loads more I'd sell before him Stu. Still think GJ can offer something.

I think the twitter outburst was poor from Glenn Johnson. You're a PL footballer, pundits, journo's and fans are allowed to discuss your performances. Why single Merson out? And resort to low blow personal insults.

And as it goes Merson didn't say anything wrong, he was spot on with all he said.

I hope KK plays Johnson on the RW, as we've discussed many times before. Kelly was outstanding at RB, far more solid than Johnson's ever looked, and Kuyt has been poor all season IMO.

I really like johnson and he is one of the VERY few genuine attacking threats in the squad. as sunny said, there are loads of players I'd offload before I got to johnson.

Plus the fact that the tweets had so many spelling and grammatical mistakes just made Johnson look even thicker.

'Know one knows what happened', what a dummy.

I think Johnson's situation is more problematic than most others' though. He's one of our most expensive players ever and he expects to play every week. He'll never be happy with a squad role and rather than take the risk of playing him out of position I'd sell him before his value drops further. We can still get a good price on him and if spent correctly that money could easily offer us more than Johnson is offering at the moment.

Kelly is doing a great job at RB and I doubt Johnson is worth £10m+ as a winger so for me this would be an easy choice.

Seems his Missus had a false alarm as well

At least with Johnson being on twitter, he's web savvy enough to know we'd all rather have Kelly playing than him.

What Merson said is spot on, so no issues there.

What Magic said is spot on, so no issues there.

What's the problem?

Kelly has got the RB spot on merit. Johnson can play RM or maybe LB but it would be wrong to drop Kelly and I don't think he will.

Johnson on the left would be a disaster.

He cant defend for shite on his favoured side. Moving him to the other side would be silly

Yeah would probably end in disaster but Aurelio is always injured and I don't like Paul Konchesky, or his mum. I remember Johnson playing LB in a pre season once and doing ok? That was before his tramp days though.

If he's fit And if he's right in the head I'd think about dropping Kuyt if we go 442 or stick Kuyt up front.

didn't kelly play mostly left back when he went out on loan? or am i thinking of another defender?

First choice

Kelly Carra Agger Aurelio

Second choice

Johnson Greek Skrtel Kelly

With Wilson filling in at CB at in emergency, LB.

Yep, I think it wa Terry Mac who was raving about him there.

i remember someone was being raved about, i just couldn't remember if it definitely was him! He deserves to be in the starting line up now on merit. Whether it be RB or LB he's deserved to make a name for himself outside of the club
