Get Suarez back even if it would cost £50m

Now I can explain why I created this thread. I wanted to see how many of you that believe that we have a chance to sign a mega big top class player. Suarez is more or less the only one that could be possible but only in our dreams. If you don't believe that we have any chance to sign him then the chance to sign another world class player is even less. Bigger chance that someone of us will win euromillions.

Liverpool FC one of the biggest clubs in the world that only in our dreams have a chance to sign world class players.

Was Suarez world class when we signed him?

No because he played in the Dutch league. For some weird reason a player that isn't playing in a top club in one of the top leagues can't be called world class.

The last world class player we signed was Torres.

if Torres was world class with Athelti, what on earth was he for us? He wasn't world class there.

Last world class player we signed was Masch.

My point was we can sign players before they hit that stage ... we just have to do a far better job of listening to the scouts at SCM (Dmish, KHL, rurik etc)

World class players pick and chose who they go to. Money is one of the main drivers , location is another and champions league is the other one, unless you are able to throw lashings and lashings of the first one at them. We won't buy any world Class players unless we are firmly established back in the CL again. So unless we are purchased buy wealthy Arabs , we have to go down Wizzy's line and buy potential and keep our fingers crossed - For the record Suarez was not world class when we got him, but he was on his way

Haha
He wasn't far off, and at this point I would caveat everything I say with he is the best player I have ever seen from Liverpool. Had he been we would not have been able to buy him despite his slightly toxic side for £22m- secondly when he first arrived his goal scoring was not as natural as when he left

He just took time to adjust. He scored 49 goals in his last Ajax season. He was scoring all sorts of boss goals. Barca were looking at him for ages and that seemed to be where he was going but then he bit someone and got a massive suspension. He was just more famous when they decided bitey footy geniuses were alright.

We wouldn't have got him without his bitey side.

I wanted us to get him when he was at Groningen. Instead we got Ryan Babel and Ajax got Luis as the replacement.

You sound like an Amiga 500+ trying to pass the Turing test.

We should do everything we can to get him back next summer. Would be a DREAM signing. Would be well spent money and we would be title contenders again.

Please get our Luis back.

Hahahahaha. Luis Garcia is more likely.

Now I can explain why I created this thread. I wanted to see how many of you believe that I'm an idiot, a mega big top idiotic poster. I is more or less the only one that could be an idiot but only in your nightmares. If you don't believe that we have any chance to stop idiots from posting then the chance of another idiot posting is even more. Bigger chance that someone of us will win euromillions.

Oh a "social experiment" is it ? You sound like Buxton

Even after the explanation, I don't get it.

We've never been able to sign mega stars in the modern era, so errr.... what are we trying to learn that's new here?

A few things
1) Rodgers lied to Agger
2) Rodgers must go NOW
3) Klopp will remedy all of our issues inshallah and make us a massive club again capable of signing mega stars year after year

Makes fuck all sense.
Particularly using Suarez as an example.
Barca wouldn't sell him to any club in the world at a 25m loss.
Is Arn Glock?
Modo was definitely not this stupid.

I'll try and follow the logic and motivation for the OP to create this thread.

Arn probably has similar views to modo and a few others who are under the impression that we as a club don't 'try' hard enough to sign world class players. Sanchez is always rolled out as an example of a player we didn't try hard enough to sign. Rodgers is also one of the main reasons we don't sign world class players because he isn't a big enough draw to sell our club. Now, I don't entirely disagree with all that but I think that's what this thread is stemming from.

So Arn created a thread with a premise of re signing Suarez as a roundabout way of reminding us that we don't try hard enough to sign world class players and won't do so while Rodgers is in charge. He used Suarez as he's a world class player and perhaps someone who might come to us because he used to once play for us. I think the thread was more of a thinly veiled dig at how the club is operated than Arn actually thinking that we could realistically sign Suarez.

Thank you, nail on the head and all that.

We need a top class DoF and a top class manager and change our transfer strategy.

Instead of having a strong squad we should concentrate on getting a very, very strong starting XI first.
