His very presence occupies multiple defenders, creating space for others. All good and still one of the teams top scorers.
Still frustrating to see him doing things poorly for a while now though. would be great to have some competition for the front three.

Neither of those three were immense today. The only immense player today was Gomez.

Joe was good, but made a rather bad mistake in the first half - fortunately Virgil bailed him out. Roles were reversed in the 2nd half. They were tested but in the end emerged with yet another clean sheet.

Btw, Wolves left back Rúben Vinagre was great today. Only 20 years old. If we're looking for back up left back I think we've found him.

Good shout... but not from Wolves they have financial might to say 50m especially when you consider AWB to United.. I trust Edwards will have some unknown kid cine through for 5m or so

Minamino is a depth add and not a proper threat to any of the front 3.

If we could get a Sane or Mbappe or even Sancho, I’d have no problem shipping Salah out.

Interesting names, but none of them as good as he is even on their current form - if you are talking about replacing the right wing position. Anyway - who gives a shit, at least one of the three are scoring in each game. Which is why the whole world rates these as the most deadliest strike force trio.

He's their backup for Jonny. So he wouldn't be too expensive.

Conor Coady moaning about a possible VVD handball in the buildup that noone claimed for and wasn't spotted till half time and didn't actually happen.

Lols

It looked like a handball when I watched the game this morning but no replays or suggestion from commentary

Keep an eye out on Norwich’s Jamal Lewis, about the same age and looked a real prospect against Spurs and other times Ive seen Norwich live.

Amazing result all things considered.

We knew Wolves would test.

We won every game in December bar the cup games where we played kids which is outrageous.

Everyone else dropped points but we keep marching on finding a way.

Today it was Lallana providing the assist and Mane with the clinical finish,

Title here we come!!

Pretty sure people were saying that when we signed Firmino then Salah then Mane !

However Minamino's best positions are all behind the forwards, he's an AM. I've posted the breakdown of the positions he most occupies in the MM thread. Though Klopp of course may have other ideas .

It was checked by VAR (they made a statement at HT to clarify this) and when viewed from a different angle (camera from R not L) it clearly hit his chest and not his hand.

Not to disagree, Froggy, but the same applied to Firmino before he came to us. I can't see Minamino replacing either Salah or Mane but I do think he'd be an option in Firmino's position.

Sitting near the Wolves supporters, I had to laugh at their behaviour towards referee Anthony Taylor. He was evidently trying to hand the game to Wolves, waving away blatant fouls against LFC players all through the game. If it had been up to him, Wolves would have won 1-0.

In return for this generosity of spirit, Taylor was roundly booed by the Wolves supporters, who even sang "who's paying you?"

Yep, even without that the video Wolsnd posted shows it didn’t strike his arm imo.

Not according to the ref, the only phases that count are the goal and the assisted pass which is stupid but there you go
Trufax, the only point at which VAR judges for handball in the build up to a goal is the immediate pass before it hits the net. Not 2 passesvback like VVD was.
Dermot clarified this as part of his weekly review on all things contentious on SS. See the app for his words.
