Not according to the ref, the only phases that count are the goal and the assisted pass which is stupid but there you go

Trufax, the only point at which VAR judges for handball in the build up to a goal is the immediate pass before it hits the net. Not 2 passesvback like VVD was.

Not true guys because PGOL (or whatever the hell their acronym is) actually issued a statement to say that they had also checked VvD for handball in the build up. It is clearly the same phase. Dermot got it wrong. Damn it I'm going to have to try and find that statement now ! Oh and HNY !

According to our lead soccer announcer Arlo White, the PGMOL checked a possible handball on Virgil Van Dijk as well as Adam Lallana on Mane’s goal but nothing was given as neither handled in the opinion of the VAR official.
