Actually doing the same thing and expecting a different result is how most inventions happened. Sorry to spoil the cliche, but it really is a stupid cliche that's been (over)used on here about eight times since September.
What Klopp is doing is showing us that his system and tactics are flawed when it comes to playing organised defensive opposition. What Klopp is doing is that he is learning the players a whole new system and a new tactic. You do that by keeping the same starting XI if you can. Then when a majority of the players in that XI know the system and tactics then you can start to make more changes.
He's saying the cliche is incorrectly used. It's not the first sign of madness.Seriously, do you think that side above is ever going to come good? I don't get your point.
This is true. Man has been using the same design for a lot of things (cars, planes etc) with ever so slight tweaks and over time it's improved. In our case, the rate of tweaks to expected result isn't fast enough.Actually doing the same thing and expecting a different result is how most inventions happened. Or he hasn't got the resource he requires to make his system and tactics (that were very successful in Germany) to work. All the injuries, not his players yadda yadda yadda. What Klopp is doing is showing us that his system and tactics are flawed when it comes to playing organised defensive opposition.

I said after the W.Ham cup game that I thought we should give some of the youngsters a longer run. They'd have done better than that lot last night.
I read somewhere (here I think) that Klopp believes in 'one-year' contract with each player. Essentially to keep faith with them for the season, but after that they expect to go their separate ways if they didn't match up to expectations.
That appears to be just what he's doing and it's fair for a new manager.
It's easier said than done to play the youngsters. There's a legitimate expectation from the club and from the players that he will try his best to work with the club's 20m++ players like Firminho, Sakho, Lovren, Can, Lallana etc. There has to be *some* quality in these players.
If you play too many youngsters too soon, you can't be sure that they will perform. It smacks of desperation, alienates the senior players, is a waste of quality in the squad and you run the risk of Sounesscide. At least he's playing the kids in the cup games now and. Hopefully we'll see a sharper side to him next season.
We had so much of the ball but didn't really test Schmeichel at all. Two shots on target out of 14 shots and some of them were so far wide or high it was ridiculous.
Klopp seemed rightly pissed off in his interview after the game mainly with decision making from the players. If they continue to make the wrong decisions time after time they they are the wrong players and they'll be replaced.
We can be really hard to watch at times (most of the time).
For the second goal i'm fed up with how many times our players (Sakho in particular) let the ball bounce in dangerous areas. It's schoolboy stuff and needs to be addressed.
Our players aren't just short though they're not very strong either or aggressive enough. Mascherano was short but he made up for that by being determined, tenacious and aggresive. I don't think you can train or coach that attitude into a player but we need more players who not only can play but who hate losing and won't accept second best from themselves or their teammates. We have a lot of players that isn't reading the game good enough. What I have been talking about, game intelligence.
Klopp will sort it out. A lot of our young players that didn't played with the first team before Klopp have much better game intelligence than a lot of our first team players. You could see the difference in the FA Cup game against West Ham.
I think a lot of our young players will get a chance next season and Klopp will only sign three or four players in the summer. A few of our the first team players will be sold.
We also have the shortest team in our history. That is one reason to why we have so many problems at defensive dead ball situations, like corners. Klopp will correct that.
I can't fathom why Joe Allen isn't starting in this team at the minute.

I agree that Klopp has made lots of poor tactical and team selection decisions
Firmino isn't a striker. Sakho isn't a defender. Lucas isn't a Premiership player. Can is inconsistent. Lallana is worse.
And yet when he fields his strongest team, all of the above are in it. And they shouldn't be. Very strange and very annoying.
