Carragher was flawless.
Pacheco, Johnson, Yossi and Kelly were good.
Everyone else was average with the exception of Deadly, who (and this was a real weird feeling) as the first half went on i realised i was REALLY looking forward to seeing.
Dull game but it doesnt matter, good to play a decentish and fit team who worked the lads out. No injuries. No wuckin forries mate.

Said the same at half time. Can't wait to watch Johnson and Dirk. Kuyt played one lovely ball into Pacheco in a nice sweeping move.

I thought yossi was poor, he has reverted to '100 touches before passing' yossi

Stephen Darby isn't exaclty comforable with the ball at his feet is he?
I've said this for a while, I really don't rate him for that reason.

honest unbiased opinion is the only people who stood out were carra and johnson, everyone else looked like they were finding their touch and fitness (which they were).

Pacheco did what he always does in the reserves though. Makes the wrong decision. He has the technique, vision etc. But he needs start making the right choices.
I absolutely agree. I thought his decision making was poor in key situations.

Mind you, he is young and it is pre-season.

It's a pity for him, he spent all his time at the academy playing as a defender, they never worked with him on the attacking side of the game, so he's on big learning curve when it comes to playing as a Rafa style full back. The thing is that's been said before and TBH I haven't seen any improvement not even in simple stuff like where to stand when you pass the ball to the winger who is under pressure.

The last time I saw him play there he would just stop the ball dead and look for the pass everytime, little running off the ball, not a great deal of pace and nigh on zero skill or technique.

He's solid like but just looks distinctly average.

He reminds me of a young Carra at full back.

Our youngsters bar Spearing and Insua were wank.

San Jose didn't look convincing at all, El Zhar was his usual shitty self, Nemeth won't make it here..

He looks like what he is IMO a CH playing at full back. I think Buddha is right if he hangs around it will be as that defensively sound but limited utility man that cover all over the back.
