The starting XI is: Cavalieri, San Jose, Degen, Insua, Carragher, Spearing, Gerrard, El Zhar, Babel, Voronin, Nemeth.

Those expected to feature in the second half are: Martin, Darby, Skrtel, Johnson, Kelly, Plessis, Pacheco, Benayoun, Lucas, Ngog, Gulacsi, Ayala, Kuyt.

I think Babel's safe for another season Neil, hopefully he can fill the role we need where someone covers for Torres and the flanks, AND does it well.

Just seen Benitez on LFC TV and he says he has been using Johnson as left back in training as he has enough options for right back in the squad but that the positional stuff is basically the same as right back.

I refuse to think he's going to go back to 4-4-2 (friendly or not).

I've got Voronin playing in the free role in a 4-2-3-1 just because.

Yep I don't think he was given a fair crack of the whip. He always impressed when given a run during preseason and then would be dumped.

That was a great breakaway, picked up by Babel on the edge of our box, good positive central run and pass to Voronin who in turn played a good ball.
