If we want to turn this nonsense on it's head, when everyone was jizzing themselves last season over the goals we were scoring, and it was suggested that we still needed to invest in forwards, the notion was ridiculed completely, by the same folk who are championing the same cause in this thread.
Our first two signings this Summer were forwards.

In my books he would be the perfect striker if he was a better finisher. He's a good striker let down by his finishing.
Firmino has scored 21 goals and assisted 18 times in 66 league games. So in 39 from 66 games he scored or directly contributed to a goal. Nobody else in our team has that level of productivity.
Just repeating "we need better" isn't going to make it true. If we can find someone better than Firmino (or anybody else for that matter) we should go and get them, but scoring goals was not a problem last season, so replacing Firmino is absolutely NOT a priority. It's our shortcomings elsewhere that kept us from challenging for the title.
It's a bit mad that Brendan is trying to pull a poster up on the fact they predicted a player would score 15 goals. He scored 11. Wow. Prediction wasn't correct. Who cares? Move on. It's not as if the poster should be embarrassed by it or anything.

Wow, I just binge-read this entire thread and I loved it.
