Watching the Liverpool channel now and they regularly show favourite 5 wins and that.

It's probably been done umpteen times before but we could all do with some nostalgia and look back on some great performances and great moments. So what are your favourite 5 Liverpool matches of all time? Let's try and get as much variety as possible!

I'll go first so I can get the obvious ones in. And post videos! Not necessarily my favourite but...

1. Liverpool 3-3 AC Milan - obviously.
2. Liverpool 3-3 West Ham - again obviously.
3. Liverpool 3-1 Man Utd - Riise's rocket - Ohhh Myyy Goodnesssss!
4. Liverpool 3-2 Everton - Super Gary Mac.
5. Liverpool 4-1 Man Utd - Torres' five finger salute!

I can't find any decent videos of it except this one but it won't let me embed. The roar of anticipation and expectation before Gerrard even reaches the ball for his first goal is amazing. You just KNEW he was going to score it despite it coming to him at an awkward height and bodies in the way. Amazing.

Liverpool v West Ham FA Cup Final 2006 HD

Chelsea 1-0 (clinching the title) 1986.
Everton 3-1 fa cup final 1986
Everton 3-2 fa cup final 1989
Nottingham Forest 5-0 (practically winning the league) 1988
Milan 3-3

just edging out

Alaves 5-4

Is that Chelsea game the one where Dalglish scored as player/manager to win the league?

[/quote]Yessir. 1984 through 1989 is my favourite period as a fan. The 87/88 team was for my money the best we ever had.

Nope. I will not tolerate this pleasant nostalgia. Only weeping and bitter recriminations on the forum from here on out.

I am one of the most bitter people right now about our condition but I can't cope with not even wanting to log on on here everyday, like I have done for the past 2 years or whatever.

We NEED pleasant nostalgia, so get your vids up DSE or pipe down, you windbag!

Cant believe no one has mentioned the 3-1 win over olympiacos to get us through champions league..
Or
The Liverpool vs Juventus game in the champions league where Luis Garcia scores that amazing goal..
