5 mill being reported now. We'll probably take any deal to get him off our books.

Honestly have no idea what Rodgers was thinking with this signing. Borini has never fitted into any of Rodgers preferred formations or style of play and he's generally just a very limited striker. Him staying last year has cost us £8-9M which is really annoying. We got Coutinho for that! The sooner he fucks off, the better. .

[article]Fiorentina have reportedly submitted an €8m bid for Liverpool striker Fabio Borini, but the Reds are demanding more.

The 24-year-old appears almost certain to exit the Anfield club this summer and La Viola are believed to be in the box seat to get his signature.

La Nazione has reported today that the Artemio Franchi side have submitted a bid of €8m, but the Premier League outfit are requesting €11m.

However, the paper believes that an agreement should be found in the next few days as the player is eager to return to Italy after three years in England. [/article]

AAAAAAAAGGGHHH

Borini could leave Liverpool FC on season-long Sunderland loan

Striker looked set for Serie A return but North East now back on the agenda
Liverpool striker Fabio Borini could remain in the Premier League with Sunderland keen on agreeing a season-loan loan
Borini was expected to return to Italy with Fiorentina leading the chase for his signature but the Black Cats have now signalled their desire to take him back to the North East.
The ECHO understands that any potential agreement remains some way off and Liverpool would rather negotiate a permanent transfer for the 24-year-old, who has two years remaining on his current contract.
Borini spent the 2013/14 season on loan at Sunderland with his 10 goals helping them to reach the League Cup final and secure their Premier League status.
He had the opportunity to join them permanently last summer but snubbed the offer after Liverpool had agreed a fee rising to £14million.
Black Cats boss Dick Advocaat wants to bolster his attacking options with loan deals for both Borini and Manchester United’s Adnan Januzaj after losing winger Adam Johnson with a dislocated shoulder.
Having opted to stay put a year ago, Borini was restricted to just five starts in all competitions last season with his only goal coming at Villa Park in January.
Following the arrival of strike trio Christian Benteke, Divock Origi and Danny Ings this summer, Borini has now admitted defeat in his battle to make it at Liverpool.
He is weighing up his options before deciding where to attempt to kick-start his flagging career

Between them they most cost the club £160k-£170k a week. We really do need to do what we can to get shot of them, but I fear Rodgers treatment of them has led to them being unsellable.

Close to joining Sunderland according to Barrett/Joyce etc

8 mill + 2 mill add ons

Just hope he can agree personal terms now

That'll be a royal robbery if we con them out of 10mill for that stupid little fucker. Excellent news. Wonder If we could spend the money before the end of the window.

Talk of Enrique to the baggies and Illori to Sunderland too.

Also, Watford wanted Markovic, but we decided against him playing in the premier league for some reason.

Borini isn't the prick here. Rodgers is for buying the bag of shite.

Borini has penned a long term deal with the Reds and Rodgers believes he will be a big hit with the club’s supporters
“I was very keen to bring him here,” said Rodgers. “Fabio fits the model of what we’re trying to do in building not only for now, but also for the future.
“He’s a big talent, 21 years of age, he scores goals, and his passion, focus and concentration is a very important part of his game.

“I’ve known him since he had just turned 16. We (Chelsea) took him in from Bologna and he progressed incredibly well as a young player to go on to play for the first team at Chelsea.

“It didn’t work out in terms of he couldn’t agree a contract, but before he left I took him on loan to Swansea and he made a big impression there and really helped us in our promotion charge that season.

“He left and went away (to Roma) and in the last season he’s done incredibly well.

“I think the supporters will love him. He’s a goalscorer, but he’s a multifunctional player who can play in a number of positions – and someone I believe has got great growth.

“He’s one of the few young players in the full Italian squad. I’d anticipate that over the next two or three years he’ll really progress and I’m sure do very well for Liverpool.”

Borini played eight first team games for Chelsea prior to a loan spell at Swansea towards the end of the 2010/11 season when he scored six goals in 12 appearances.

Rodgers is convinced that experience of English football will stand him in good stead for the challenges ahead.
“I think the adaptation will be much easier,” he said. “I believe he’ll feel as though he’s coming home because his formative years as a young player were here in Britain and the game in this country suits him.
“He’s technically strong, he’s a good finisher with both feet, he can play central or on the sides in a 4-3-3 up front, he’s quick, and he’s tactically very good.
“He is arguably the best physical player I’ve worked with in terms of his pace, power and fitness.
“Mentally, he’s very strong. We’ve got a player who is on the up and someone who I think Liverpool will benefit from.”

That why you benched him or left him at home during most of his Liverpool career, Brendan??

Borini had plenty of opportunities to impress for us and he spectacularly failed to deliver. He was given his chance and he didn't take it. As for Rodgers talking him up, what's so bad about a manager doing that?

I don't get it when people get all irate when players refuse to move. We bang on when players don't honour their contracts and orchestrate a move. The dickheads are the people who sign the shite in the first place and then loan them out, then bring in shite to replace them (Aspas for Borini) then loan out the shite we brought in to replace the original shite, then bring the original shite back.

I don't know any other club that spunks a load of cash out on no marks only to then loan them out and eventually sell for a loss. I'm convinced we're a front for some kind of dodgy money laundering outfit.

In Borini's case the fact he'd been bombed off by so many clubs at such a young age sort of tell you he was fucking muck.
