Everton v Liverpool - Match Thread

Today's showing is for me another reason why we need better attacking options for the wings. Ox is clearly uncomfortable playing there.
Origi was meh.
Only threats this game was Mane who had to carry a huge workload in attack and Keita.
Fuck me... Trent was bad. Nothing worked for him today.

This is all my fault. I put a bottle of beer in the fridge that I'd been saving for special occasion.

Agree. Our drop off from Mane and Salah is brutal.

We have a point and 90 mins of football under our belt, Everton played for about 3 mins

When you are losing your left flank in Robertson and big chunks of your right flank in Salah... against a team making zero effort to attack... yeah that was dull...

Keita looked positive though and it was good to see him and Fabs playing well.

Thank God we didn't lose that... it would have been unfair but...

With the five sub rule this was crying out for a wild card, someone like Elliott. We need that option among our five changes.

I sort of hoped Origi would start - he's got a great record against Everton, he's seemed sharp in training, he needs to play through the middle. But like most of them he seemed very flat.

As someone said (apologies, can't remember) Van Dyke takes a mean free kick, we should use him more as an option.

All in all, not a disaster, points dropped, but we move on. The next performance, however, needs to be bang on after this.

Can’t help but feel disappointed but the eve defended well and were well organised.

Still 1 point closer and win against Crystal Palace then a chance to take it off of Citeh against them.

I think the physios & medical team have been banging on about the risk of injuries, & the withdrawal of Milner & Matip will be because they've been told to shout as soon as they feel any tweak at all.

Then when they've gone off I think Klopp has decided there's no way he'll risk further injuries & damn the points.

Klopp said Milner’s hamstring was tight meaning he is definitely out of the palace game. Matip’s big toe got bent and foot swelled up meaning he couldn’t run. Not sure how that looks for Wednesday.

Let's hope we don't have any more injuries then with Sideshow Lovren waiting in the wings.

We might actually not win the league if he plays a significant amount of time.
I am now seriously torn as to who i would want to play as centre half for us.
Lovren or Luiz.
Doesn't bear thinking about.
