Everton v Liverpool Match Thread

Contrary to what everyone is saying, I think Klopp was right to bring Lallana on. He brought us something different, found spaces that others were not able to find – but once again the lack of quality, especially quality of passing cost us – like the little chip from Robbo to a free Lallana which was overhit.

Anyone who thinks City will now drop points if lunatic. Their players are winners who win games when it matters. How many Cup-finals has Guardiola lost? More than Klopp has won?

If you look back at the mancs, they went two or three seasons getting close before winning the title. That came about because of accumulated experience and prudent strengthening of the squad. Well, we might still win it, but it was always an outside bet. But if we learn from this in terms of experience, and, crucially, if FSG keep investing in new players, we will win it. This should be unlike the two recent occasions when we've gone close, because FSG should push on. If they don't, we don't. It's how you win, or fail to win, league titles these days. But we can still do it. But it'll be in spite of our embarrassing fans, who frankly are as helpful as David Walliams at a bomb disposal.

The title was lost because in Jan we were 7 points clear with a chance to go 10, we’re now 1 point behind.

Do people understand momentum?

Someone tell the players, fans and manager not to bother turning up for the rest of the season.

We played well but wasted chances we should have won. Virgil was awesome they hardly had any threat against us. Let’s try win our last games and hope city slip along the way. Salah looks like he lost his confidence a bit and is thinking too much before he decides what to do with the ball

Are you seriously going to lecture people on having a proportionate response to things?

Let people vent.

Salah just over thinks shit instead of doing the simple things.
He's too busy trying to get the golden boot

He's got a case of the benayouns at the minute, where he needs to beat a fella 3 times before doing anything

Ha ha. Well, people who vent need dummies. On here they're spoilt for choice.

Yeah, people have a childish response to this ball kicking game. It's strange.

I want Liverpool to win the league before my dad dies. It would mean a lot to him, and I'm beginning to think I'm running out of time.
