3 of the forwards aren't forwards (or at least not in the traditional sense). Is the Era of the dedicated goalscorer over?

Very interesting debate but imo I don't think they are. But it's obviously they'll often have to contribute more than in the past perhaps where they often where judged by goals and goals alone.

Balotelli, Gomez, Bendtner, Torres, Carroll and Zlatan all had decent Euros and are indeed very much strikers in the old meaning of the word. Some more than others, but there are all in that bracket.

He does have a tendendy to NOT be in the box agreed, but he'd probably score more of stopped drifting as much. The Swedish team does lack some quality mind why he's probably feeling he's got to do a lot by himself. The amazing goal he scored against France was actually being started by himself almost at his own half before finding his way to the box.

Exactly, the only reason Zlatan was played deep was because we didn't have enough quality in midfield. Källström, Elm and Anders Svensson are like Henderson, Spearing and Adam in midfield. An utter fucking disaster.
