RVP misses another, for arse he would have buried that
Huntelaar hasnt impressed at all
Very overrated.
I don't think I've ever seen such a poor Dutch team. Utterly spineless, too.
Heh..... no coincidence since Kuyt went out the team.
I said this the other day, I just don't get the hype. Maybe he's just having a bad tournament, I haven't seen him play a great amount of football, but what I have seen he's been very underwhelming.

i had him on as top goalscorer.....Huntelaar hasnt impressed at all
Allegedly. Although I doubt the Spurs fans would call him thatIsn't Postiga a striker?
Isn't Postiga a striker?
the hapless right-back that Ronaldo ripped the dick out of for 90 minutes.
get rid of the old guns like van Bommel, De Jong
Yeah, to be fair, de Jong isn't that old either. They should get rid of van Bommel for sure, and even VdV.I actually think Van Der Weil wasn't bad ... He's one of the best young RBs in the world too (If I'm not mistaken, Kuyt played for the same manager throughout the World Cup ...)
I thought De Jong was excellent yesterday - I think he should lead that team. A bit of a nutter, but he's tough as nails and cares.

Yup, with Kuyt, they'd have won every game and had no problems with missing the goal against the Danes!
That wasn't the point, I'm not saying Kuyt is the be all and end all, or the answer to everything. The last time I saw him play for them he did what he always does for Holland - put in a good performance. He had a hand in a couple of goals, including providing a great cross for Huntelaar. Contrast that to the much more naturally gifted but infinitely selfish Robben and a less than confident RVP. They could have done with his experience and his willingness to fight. Too many superstars were trying to steal the limelight, they looked disjointed and anything but a team. He might not have made that great a difference, but when you look at how he usually performs for them and the qualities they lacked in the tournament, it's a no-brainer.
I think the manager went with Kuyt a lot during the WC (2010) ... so it's not like he had a vendetta against him or something else. Kuyt has had a terrible year - maybe that's why he didn't play.
I was just suggesting THEY might have benefited from playing him more.
