Anyone could do a 'Modo'. It's dead easy. Act all pessimistic about anyone we sign and then be excited and drag up old threads if they fail.

"Oh we could have got Rakitic for 10million less than Lallana".

Yeah we know, we'd all like Rakitic, thing is though, Barca signed him. We didn't turn him down like.
 
Also, people were very happy with the window BEFORE we binned off mereiles. After that, people were less than happy.

I was thrilled with our quick action, no point denying it.

It's all a bit Football Manager esque. "Oh we spent £25m on Lallana when we could have bought Sanchez for the same".

Really? Sanchez who's now being touted for between £30m-£40m? Sanchez who we are trying to force to come here?
 
The lack of subjectivity is embarassing.

The first summer post Hodgson compared to the first summer we get back into the CL

They aren't even *slightly* comparable
 
Henderson,Adam,Enrique,Downing,Coates and Bellamy* ?

Just about every are where we were massively lacking last season has been addressed.

I expect this squad to finish in the top 4 at a canter, with a view of attracting names from the top draw once we've got ourselves back into Europe with the big boys.

Massively happy with the work the club have done this summer.

I have nothing against Emre Can, Lambert and Lallana, I just think we can and should do better.
Sure there's plenty of time left, but I admit that I'm a bit envious regarding the signings some other teams have made.
Also, we're about to lose Suarez which makes it even worse.
 
40m spent already.

This is a big window for us. We need to add more with Champions league football coming and still question marks over Agger, Borini, Aspas, Johnson, Enrique, Mignolet, Suarez maybe even Lucas and Gerrard.

Currently (taking Suarez out of the mix) our best 11 is (sorry Ryan)

Skrtel
Johnson

Henderson
Gerrard

Sterling
Coutinho
Lallana

Sturridge

But the depth behind that is not too strong
Allen, Lucas, Agger, Ilori, Can, Lambert. Not much in the way of game changing talent there.

We need a really good two or three spree.
Full backs and DM still my biggest concern.
Along with of course a proven match winner.
I dont see Sanchez as an option at all.
Maybe Moreno will come in but I still reckon we need competition for Johnson a dominant DM and that X factor player.

Id still love Shaqiri or Griezmann.

Liverpool Football Club have today completed the transfer of Emre Can from Bayer Leverkusen.

The Reds agreed a deal in principle for the versatile midfielder last month, and the necessary documentation has now been finalised.

Can becomes Liverpool's third signing of the summer, following the capture of Rickie Lambert and Adam Lallana from Southampton.

Upon sealing the switch to Anfield, the 20-year-old said: "I am proud to be a part of the family and I am looking forward to playing here. I will give it my best.

"LFC is a great club and the fans are amongst the best in the world. I am looking forward to the first game and can't wait to step on the pitch for the first time at Anfield."

Can made 29 Bundesliga appearances last season, scoring three goals for Leverkusen, in addition to seven Champions League run-outs.

Reading the Can and Lallana interviews back to back, it's funny, whenever a new player signs, one of the main questions they always get asked is who they are looking forward to playing alongside. It's been deliberately swerved in both interviews, I guess to avoid any conflict over Suarez.
