This is a big window for us. We need to add more with Champions league football coming and still question marks over Agger, Borini, Aspas, Johnson, Enrique, Mignolet, Suarez maybe even Lucas and Gerrard.

Currently (taking Suarez out of the mix) our best 11 is (sorry Ryan)

Skrtel

Henderson

Sterling
Coutinho
Lallana

Sturridge

But the depth behind that is not too strong
Allen, Lucas, Agger, Ilori, Can, Lambert. Not much in the way of game changing talent there.

We need a really good two or three spree.
Full backs and DM still my biggest concern.
Along with of course a proven match winner.
I dont see Sanchez as an option at all.
Maybe Moreno will come in but I still reckon we need competition for Johnson a dominant DM and that X factor player.

Id still love Shaqiri or Griezmann.

I think there's a few yet to come Oncy, I'd take any two from Shaqiri, Sanchez or Griezmann though, not that it's likely. I think we'll bring in a centre back and full back, that much was obvious from early in the transfer window. I just wonder whether when we sell Suarez, it might be a case of him funding a £30m ish attacker and then the rest will go on sorting out the backline.

Jonathan Norcroft of the Sunday Times did a webchat today where he suggested the best thing we could do is (if we get in Sanchez) spend the £40-50 Million left over in the Suarez deal on two top class defenders.

It makes sense, after last season. We just have to get the attacker part right. Sanchez and, say, Huntelaar, would be a start, with money to spare.

Cant say im a fan of huntelaar personally. Im hoping they can persuade sanchez to come but its not looking likely right now. I hope we go for rodriguez he looks solid at LB. still think we are big time lacking a playmaker in the middle. Thats what we really need, a guy to control the tempo of our game. Its meant to be allen I guess but he's been a failure and will be spending this season on the bench.

Sanchez would be perfect however unlikely.
Hows that muriel lad got on this last season?
My absolute dream would be Benzema I think hes fucking beast.

I know he's not like Suarez, but Sanchez has the potential to be, Huntelaar would be another useful option, but then I guess he's probably similar to Lambert in style. I'm not saying I particularly want him, I was thinking more of us getting Sanchez, plus a cheaper striker to allow us to sort out the defensive issues aswell.

Personally I'd prefer that we got two top class attackers and hope that we were already buying defenders anyway.

Coutinho, Sterling, Lallana, Gerrard?

I think they will all be involved in playmaking through the middle in a 4-3-3 or the diamond formation. I think we need 2 more flexible forwards (could include Ibe possibly) to provide depth for multiple competitions, injuries and those days when it just does not click for Sturridge, Sterling, Coutinho. They are all inconsistent (some more than others) and some days, it just does not work for them and last year we had no other options to bail us out.

None of them are playmakers in the alonso/modric mould. The closest we have are allen and gerrard.
 
The fact that we are calmly accepting the sale of Suarez ... i know its just business reality but... fucking hell... we are twice the team with him in it...

It doesnt really matter who we buy and for whatever cash he is irreplaceable.

look at Spurs past season, 100M worth of talent brought in but totally lost without Bale.

Whomever we buy they better be shit hot, i for 9ne really fucking enjoyed challenging last season.
