I think this might be the best team we'll face this season

I'd play Benteke and Sturridge in the hope that if an odd chance comes their way they are our best bet to put one away.
But Origi's pace and workrate could be beneficial too. Hummels has a mistake in him - Origi might be able to capitalise on it

Hummels moaned about his teammates not stopping Boateng playing long balls when Bayern humped them 5-1.
It's fine playing long balls when you have a top quality finisher to capitalise. Origi isn't anywhere near top quality.
All he has is pace and a strong physique.
Thats why i'd probably play Benteke and Sturridge.
One Hummels mistake could result in a chance either could put away - if they bothered their holes to put him under pressure

He was injured for our match with Spurs. Happened on international duty. He's not in the squad as far as I can see. Lucas either.
Think he'll start on the bench mate. Looks like Origi will start instead of Sturridge. According to Joyce etc, so pinch of salt obviously.

Bascombe and Andy Hunter are running the story too that Klopp is considering playing Origi rather than Sturridge. I wonder if this is a strategic leak to give our Daniel a boot up the arse.
I don't think Klopp is the sort to manage his team through the press. He looks like the sort who'd want to personally chew Sturridge's ear off to get his point across.

Yup, horses for courses. If he's gonna stand there for 90 minutes and not work hard and then come off the pitch in a sulk, what's the point? He might be a better source of goals, but this is a game where we need every player giving their all, not jogging around and snarling at every misplaced pass.
It's being the sum of our parts though, Origi will work harder and bring others into play, with Sturridge you don't know what mood he's gonna turn up in at the minute, and it's not like he's a useful source of pace and hold up play right now either. The only game where we've truly battered someone this season with Sturridge playing was against Southampton, the big games we've won have been with Firmino & Coutinho plus Origi or Lallana.
