You know what? You're not far wrong, mate. People look at the exotic names and cream themselves. Our squad isn't as good in attack, but we have the better keeper, defenders and midfield.

Valdes isn't a great goalkeeper - neither is Hart (at least not yet), but I'd take Hart in a second. More imposing, better presence in the box and fewer errors.

A more apt comparison would be City vs Real given that both have spent absolute fuckloads in the last few years.

Barca have spent a lot as well, but their foundation is homegrown.
