City's selection of strikers is impressive but Barca's choice of midfielders edge out City's. The one area Barca is lacking in strength in depth is no doubt defence, esp. after the departures of the likes of Martin Caceres, Gabriel Milito and Dmytro Chygrynsky in recent seasons without like for like reinforcements. Alas, the capability of the Barca B players to make the step up is something City's youngsters seemingly haven't been able to replicate in recent yrs. City's team willl be reliant on their strikers scoring the goals too, whereas Barca's source of goals is pretty much spreaded out among the team.

OK maybe the picture was uncalled for but I think it is impossible to argue that we have a stronger squad that city.
They have strength and depth like no other team I have seen, by far the strongest squad in the premiership.
I think some people are starting to get a little carried away with our strength/prospects early in the season.
We have some fantastic players, are playing some great football and have a legend managing us but we are still some distance behind the strength and depth that the two Manchester clubs have.
If we finish in the top 4 this season it will be a fantastic achievement IMO.

I actually don't think there's much in it between our squad and City's. However my post was more of a reaction to all the stuff being posted yesterday about how great other players and squads are and how they are better than our own. If i want to read that, I'll look elsewhere.
