Surely this is just brinkmanship? If he has a choice to double his salary and he's money motivated he should take that especially as the alternative is what he's currently on and with zilch game time.

He probably thinks he can do it for us. He's not had the greatest amount of opportunity. We'll see what Rodgers does with him this season

I'm trying to rationalise why he wouldn't move. If he's on 30k here, why would he turn down double that? If he's a mercenary cunt then surely he'd take double than stay here on his current wage? The lads had 5 clubs in 5 years, he's probably sick of it, combined with feeling like he's got a lot to offer here.
I think the 90k demands are a "I'm not fucking moving unless it's definitely worth it"
