He may just be totally out of form until he moves in January giving him time to reclaim his Euro place and leave youse lot with a choice of Cillessen for a massively inflated price or what you've got now.

He can't move in January as RM have a transfer ban.

Wouldn't rule out this still going through tonight.

@RafaelH117: Marca bizarrely claims the De Gea documents sent by Manchester United were protected by password.

Imagine we had been involved in a debacle like this...all of the ITK's would be having a field day guessing at what had gone wrong then passing it all off as Gospel.

Scum & Real appealing to FIFA ... it will get through, and Blatter will trouser a few $K in the process

Tell you what would be really funny is the scenario whereby the paperwork for both deals was submitted independently.

So De Gea to RM failed as too late but of course there's still no problem for England so Navas went through.

Thus leaving RM without a decent keeper, just Kiko Casilla, and the Scum working out how to manage Romero, De Gea and Navas

Wouldn't it be better if it was that other way around

Possibly, but Graeme Hunter (who's a snarky cnut but seems to know his stuff) was saying on TalkSh!te this morning that he doesn't think there are sufficient grounds to allow the appeal as the rules currently stand. Here's hoping, eh?

Well yes but that isn't a possible scenario!

The one I paint is of RM fucked (which given our history with them suits me) and the Scum with a real management problem, an outlay of a few millions they didn't need to, a £30m hole in the budget and a PR nightmare

Plus Valdes, but that is a problem I would love to have.

I don't know what to think of the mancs these days. Admittedly I don't pay much attention to them, out of choice, but whatever I do read and hear about them suggests they should be in a state of growing disarray, but they keep winning/'nicking' points and doing at least a little better than us.

Has their been any confirmation on this?

Who does De Gea now play for? Who does Navas play for?

Navas going to the scum was entirely dependant upon teenwolf going the other way, so Navas is still with madrid. Both transfers can still go through and I'd suspect they will with it being madrid. Spain can still sell players but not buy them.
