Is right.. I can't believe some of the second rate shite we're being linked with. This was meant to be a Summer of fine tuning with a couple of top brass players..

Instead it's Lee Cattermole and Tom fucking Huddlestone.

I despair.

I wouldn't mind them as back ups. Admittedly havn't seen much Distin lately but I do like Tuncay.

Anyone mentioned the possibility of Arteta?
Don't watch a lot of Everton games but I know he's highly thought of. Whether he is liverpool quality is another matter entirely.
 
Arteta is a good shout, but I don't think Everton are keen to let him join their arch rivals. Don't think he'd want to join us either. To be honest Beckham would do a great job for us in the middle if Xabi leaves.
 
I think we should sign Alonso's older brother and pray for the best.

I'm not convinced about that. He himself wanted to play there, but he never looked as effective to me when he did so. For my money he had to play out on the right of a 4-4-2 to be at his best.
