Usually does well in pre-season.

One year left in his contract.

So, do you think Brendan will let him go or give him a year to prove himself?

There's an opening now that Suso has gone on loan.

His performance vs PNE:

Shame..
Stood out in the reserves, did great in a lower division team in England, then nothing since then. I still think he has the quality to play well in a mid to lower placed side in the primera division.

Give the twat a go. He's got this season to impress then he's gone.

I love the "get rid he's shite talk", yet these are the people who moan about loyalty being gone in the game!

i really like danny - perfect attitude despite never getting close to regular chances at the first team level. I don't think he's good enough, which is why he hasn't got the chances, but I wouldn't be against keeping him on for a few more years (if he's ok not getting regular games) because a) he's great with the Spanish players b) popular and c) a Red through and through. Sometimes, it's best to keep a pacheco than sign a decent/useless free to replace his minutes.

It would help if they knew where to play him and stuck with that. Every time he does get a chance it seems to be in a different position and, understandably, he looks okay whilst a little confused. I'd make him captain of the ressies for a season, play him every game in a Zola-style position and give him his head. Then either keep him or send him away once and for all. He's a clever, imaginative player with, as has been said, a great attitude, but he's been messed around for ages and it's stalled his progress.

I dont think anybody is saying he's shite, but he isnt good enough for a club wanting to compete at the top.
Macca is spot on about the playing position and that he's been moved around a lot.

Imho we've got better players in his positions and he wont get a game. Playing in the reserves wont help his development either tbh.

I like him but having a good attitude isnt enough.
Get a fee for him this year instead of nothing in a years time.

I feel sorry for Patches. Benitez probably would have given him a chance. Actually Benitez did give him a run out or two.
Both Hodgson and Kenny were wrong not to play him and it looks like its too late now.

Agreed, I do think he has something, the only issue for me is that when he has had fleeting opportunities, he's never really grabbed it by the scruff of the neck. I wouldn't be surprised to see him go, but I wouldn't be adverse to him getting a chance to show what he can do.

He seems down to earth, popular, hard working, loyal and loves Liverpool FC. These traits alone are, for me, enough reason to give him a little more time to show he has 'IT' or at least get him a decent transfer deal.

He's been around for a fucking eternity. Surely this season he'll end up getting over 10 games. Just to SEE if he's definitely not good enough

I think the fact he's been on loan for the past few seasons tells you everything. He'll be back in his homeland before mid August

For a second I thought you we're suggesting giving him regular blow jobs in an attempt to improve him.

I can just see Brendan Rodgers

"okay, Dani, we're going to try something a little bit different this season, okay..."

i wonder why he hasn't pushed for a move himself, i mean he's 22 now and been going out on loan for 3 seasons , surely he needs to move to a club where he has stability and knows if he's coming or going .

Considering the dross who've been selected ahead of him during that period, its still is somewhat valid.

You must have seen something in Pacheco that counters what 4 successive Liverpool managers did, so I apologise Modo. You're exactly right.

I'd leave Benitez out of it since he actually let him play.

And yeah those managers (except Brendan) were otherwise spot on with their signings.

At the age of 22, he needs regular football to progress to the next level. Contract is also expiring at the end of the season. I think unless he perform exceptionally well in preseason training and games, its best for both parties to part ways. Bench warming or reserve team football is simply not beneficial for him.

For his own sake, I think he should go. All our managers, past and present, dont see to rate him. Having said that, it doesnt seem like any clubs have expressed any interest in him.

He was a star at Norwich, I think. Supporters really liked him.
They'd welcome him back with open arms, though I'm not sure that's what Pacheco wants..
