Hookers.

People at markets.
Taxi drivers.
People looking a bribe.
Builders who want to avoid tax.

Pubs. That and car parks are the only places I use cash .... oh and when I leave Monmouth to shop I need a quid for the trolly

I understand he is quite old ? If anyone knows him personaly, they should check up on him.

Despite some of the maadness on this thread, just remember this thing is dangerous to old people and people with existing health issues especially with breathung issues, nothing to do with rich and poor. 25 Million people a year die of starvation, no one gives a shit , and more people die of standard flu. Think the worry is that Europe has an aging population thats why many countries are worried, think if you are young and get through it you will be able to fight it off if you come accross more people qith the virus at a later date. This Government is right by not over reacting. I dont trust the Chinese government, as i think they have used this for increasing their surveilance on their people.
Yes. Cos visiting elderly people is exactly the right thing for people to do after they've been potentially been exposed to an often fatal to the elderly virus.

Just for clarity, no, it's fucking not the right thing to do at all.

Horrible as it sounds, getting in touch through other means & leaving them food, newspapers etc on their doorstep (using gloves to handle any of it) is the best thing to do so they don't have to go out themselves & risk catching it.

Checking up on him does not necessarily mean visiting them to infect them. Sure a phone call/message etc is ok, and like you said doing all those other things if need be.

Your response is a bit over the top for a simple suggestion to check on an elderly member of this site.

Do you seriously trust Boris Johnson over the Chinese??

We shall see when hospitals get crowded and people start dropping like flies in the UK...

I dont trust any government, but its better than what they have in china. This thing will pass, but am worried about my parents who will return from their asian holiday after 6 weeks and be in contact with my wife, me, and my sister who have had the flu recently, also my work office is closed until further notice due to precautions, both CEO, another executive were quarantied after a recent holiday in italy 2 weeks ago.

The health jobsworths in the media want to ban all forms of human activity including, as I heard this morning, public transport. This leaves us all cowering in our homes beside a stack of toilet rolls. This must surely be a victory for the Covid19 virus.

Yep, a player on the Utah Jazz has tested positive.
So has Tom Hanks and partner. But seriously who gives a shit about a TV / Health Minister / Sports star that has it. It's the big picture that matters.

Let's just get this done (even behind closed doors) before the season is postponed / abbreviated (they won't cancel/annul it, financially too much at stake).

Can’t see the league getting past this weekend now.

It's difficult to predict the course of an epidemic.

I'm guessing that we are near enough to the end of the season for the Premier League to continue by playing matches behind closed doors if that should prove necessary. The TV money would presumably continue to roll in.

That won't happen..

As soon as player or staff connected to a club is tested positive.. the PL will be suspended..

This weekend will likely be behind closed doors and will likely be the last round of PL matches you will see for a while..

A share of the TV money will only be allocated if the match is shown.. not sure the %

There will be all sorts of legal ramifications for the Premier League and clubs regarding TV money in the aftermath

Can you imagine the objections in paying payments in relation to this from the likes of Sky and BT, if they can't televise any games ?
Terms of contact agreed between parties will probably fuck the PL over..

Fans will want partial refunds on season tickets too.. and some sponsors will withhold or look to recoup agreed funds based on T&C of contracts

Players will still need to paid wages. This could seriously cause ramifications

Then there is the lower League clubs.. they require gate revenue to survive... Many season ticket are sold very early, that usually determines the club financial outlook over the coming season..

If they are ordered to play behind closed doors or season finished early, you could likely be seeing quite a few Clubs go out of business..

But that will most likely be for two weeks. I think the biggest focus around will be to get the leagues finished, and that the Euros get cancelled.

Totally wrong..

Europe wide at the moment seasons are now being postponed, 2 weeks to a month, even after that there is no guarantee games will continue. Italy have already started saying the season may not finish.. and looking at alternative solutions to finish the season..

The second a player test positive, is the second the league will be postponed.

The more cases you hear in Europe it likely the FA, EPL and EFL will be forced to take preventative action, coming from club and player pressure..
