The government wants the virus to spread, so there will be less people needing social care. Vulnerable come at a cost to the state, in pensions, nhs and social care

The virus will also free up all the hospital beds being blocked by the old and vulnerable people, who have nowhere to go because the tories have fucked up the social care system and NHS

120,000+ already killed by austerity. Thousands more have perished due to cuts to NHS ..

So yeh.. I could see why some could get fully on board with these conspiracy theories..

Despite some of the maadness on this thread, just remember this thing is dangerous to old people and people with existing health issues especially with breathung issues, nothing to do with rich and poor. 25 Million people a year die of starvation, no one gives a shit , and more people die of standard flu. Think the worry is that Europe has an aging population thats why many countries are worried, think if you are young and get through it you will be able to fight it off if you come accross more people qith the virus at a later date. This Government is right by not over reacting. I dont trust the Chinese government, as i think they have used this for increasing their surveilance on their people.
