Birmingham City - Jonathan Grounds (free transfer)

The 26-year-old, who will formally become Lee Clark's first signing ahead of the 2014/15 campaign on July 1, operates predominantly as a left-back but can also stand-in at centre-back if required.
Grounds, who was born in North Yorkshire, began his career at Middlesbrough, where he came through their academy system.
During his five-year professional spell at Boro he spent several periods out on loan at Norwich City, Hibernian, Chesterfield and Yeovil Town.
In 2012 he joined Oldham Athletic and during his two-year stint at the Latics made 106 appearances and scored three goals.
Blues boss Clark, who worked with Grounds during his time as assistant manager at Norwich, told bcfc.com: "I am delighted to welcome Jonathan to the club and he is somebody who both myself and (chief scout) Malcolm Crosby know a lot about from his time at Middlesbrough.
"Jonathan's versatility will be important for us as he can play as a left-back or left-sided centre half. We conceded far too many goals last season so it was key that we strengthened our defence and Jonathan will help us to do that.
"He has a lot of experience and I can see in his eyes that he has that hunger as he was always determined to get back playing in the Championship."[/article]
Birmingham City - Grant Hall (loan)
[article=http://www.bcfc.com/news/article/20140604-official-birmingham-city-bag-tottenham-hotspur-defender-1598521.aspx#grQg7pVLqRfB2m7u.99]Blues have signed young Tottenham Hotspur defender Grant Hall on a season-long loan.
The 22-year-old centre-half is Lee Clark's second signing this week, following the arrival of versatile left-back Jonathan Grounds on Monday.
Hall, who hails from Brighton, began his footballing career with his hometown club as a scholar in 2009. He made a solitary first-team appearance for the Seagulls, before he was snapped up by Spurs in the summer of 2012.
After impressing for the North London club's U21 side, including captaining them towards the end of the 2012/13 campaign, Hall joined Sky Bet League One outfit Swindon Town on a season-long deal in July 2013.
However, having been an ever-present for the Robins with 33 appearances up until mid-January, the second half of Hall's loan stay at the County Ground was scuppered by a hamstring injury.
Hall will now be looking to take the next step up in his promising career with regular football in the Sky Bet Championship with Blues.
Crucially for Clark, the season-long loan doesn't include a recall option, something that inadvertently hampered his side during the 2013/14 campaign with the likes of Kyle Bartley and Dan Burn being recalled by their respective parent clubs.
Commenting on Hall's arrival, the Blues boss added: "I've got to stress that a big reason we were prepared to do this loan deal was due to the fact that there can be no recall so Grant is effectively our player for the next year.
"I watched him closely at Swindon Town last season and he impressed before picking up a hamstring injury. I know that Mark Cooper (the Swindon manager) speaks very highly of him and we were actually in for Grant last season but due to the link between Tottenham and Swindon it didn't work out for us.
"We're delighted to have Grant on board and it's no coincidence that my first two signings have been defenders because that was an area we needed to address. We simply didn't keep enough clean sheets last season and, as we look to continue to improve that area, there will be more defenders to come." [/article]
Birmingham - Stephen Gleeson (free transfer)
[article=http://www.bcfc.com/news/article/20140605-official-blues-bag-irish-midfielder-1612403.aspx#RZs5rfz2xioULird.99]Lee Clark's squad rebuilding continues apace with the signing of Milton Keynes Dons midfielder Stephen Gleeson.
The 25-year-old Republic of Ireland international has put pen-to paper on a two-year contract.
Born in Dublin, Gleeson moved to England to join Wolverhampton Wanderers’ Academy set-up.
He was given a three-year professional deal by Wolves in 2006. During that three year period with the Black Country outfit he spent several spells out on loan at clubs including Stockport County, Hereford United and Milton Keynes Dons, before signing with the Dons on a permanent basis in July 2009, going on to make a total of 169 appearances with 17 goals to his name.
The recruitment of Gleeson follows the arrival of defenders Jonathan Grounds and Grant Hall last week. [/article]
