Partizan Belgrade star Cleo admits he is in the dark about reports linking him with a move to Liverpool.

Reports have suggested the Reds are considering a move for the Brazilian striker as they bolster their attacking options in the January transfer window.

However, Cleo, who has scored against Arsenal in this season's Champions League, is not reading too much into the speculation.

"Liverpool? I heard something about this story... Well, I actually read about it on the internet," Cleo told Blic.

"But nobody has talked with me about this. But of course in football you never know what tomorrow will bring to you.

"Just two years ago I had a trial at Lens, but then I signed for Red Star Belgrade.

"Back then I was too costly for Lens, but now I'm at club, which plays in the Champions League. So you really never know what will happen.

"I don't want to think too much about my future.

"Who knows where would I be now, if I had signed for Lens."

He started his senior career in 2003. as an 18-year old in his native Brazil where he played 109 official games and scored 39 goals for four clubs in a period between 2003 and 2008. In August 2008, Cleo moves to Partizan bitter rival Crvena Zvezda where he scores 12 goals (8 league and 4 cup ones) in less than a year. He signs a 4-year deal with Partizan June 2009 and therefore creates a big fuzz in Serbian sporting public. This 23-year old Brazilian forward moves particularly well with or without ball, is great in the air, capable of assisting and is technically superior.

Soon after moving to Partizan, he becomes one of the Partizan supporters favourites, and that goes for all club`s employees who found him as one very calm and composed young man of immpecable behaviour. Ha already showed all his playing qualities during pre-season preps and friendlies. There`s no doubt Partizan strenghtened team`s forward lines with Cleo`s arrival.

So when he says he was too expensive for Lens, what he actually means is his wages were ridiculous for some no mark Brazilian*

*About as Brazilian as Lucas, no doubt
