I hope Klopp doesn't fuck around and says exactly what he feels over this, Moss deserves to be berated for a garbage decision.
He needs to first explain why his team capitulated so badly in the second half. Red cards happen. We can't react so badly to them.

We gave up in the 2nd half, when we were 2 nil down with 10 men. The match was lost. We didn't give up just because we were down to 10 men.

I don't have problem with that. Long season. Other fish to fry and all that.

I can see what you're saying, but if we're going to adopt that approach we need to adjust our formation and tactics accordingly, so we can at least limit the damage.

Fucking pathetic ... zero goal difference now.. so we lost more than just the game. Also defensively what the fuck was that..even with 10 men we should not be that bad. It was painfull to watch and why the fuck wold you persist with slow as fuck bobby up front alone ?

I just looked up the rules and they say that a reckless foul (which Mane's tackle was at most - no way did he mean to catch the keeper) gets a yellow card. On that basis Moss dropped a king-sized ricket.

It all looks soon and gloom now. But this team has its qualities, and until the sending off we were the better team.
So yes, it's no excuse for such capitulation, but our test now is to show we can regroup and restart our season.

No we weren't but it doesn't matter now.

You don't have a problem with us giving up! Fuck that shit. The players should show some self respect not feel sorry for themselves. I can't believe a Liverpool fan would advocate giving up, you should feel ashamed mate.

I didn't advocate giving up... I'm not going to get het up over a match that's gone, as this was at half time. I care a lot more about the next match rather than one that's gone.

So, nothing to be ashamed of

Hansern thats 11 against in 6 games this season. In case you were confused.

Its shameful, fucking SHAMEFUL that we didnt strengthen in summer.

What a club.

Yeah, it probably is. But if you remove your bushy eyebrows and beard from the screen you'll see that we kept a clean sheet in 6 of the last 7 league games.
Even if we were shite in this game it doesnt change the fact that what I said was correct.

Not that it matters what you think anyway.

We don't have the capacity to, we don't know how to do a backs against the walls job. It's a case of snot loads of teams and capitulate against a fair few too. There's no middle ground or the ridiculously offensive notion of having a Plan B. We're all or nothing, which is why we continue to fall short.

Teams get players sent off and don't lose 5-0. What's that phrase that pros sometimes trot out, it's difficult to play against 10 men as they focus on making themselves difficult to breakdown.
We just don't have that in our make-up.

Well it's a good job the team in Istanbul didn't think like you then isn't it? And if getting beaten 5-0 doesn't get you het up then what the fuck does?

We just don't have that in our make-up.

In our defence, our defence is shite, we don't have any DM's and we were up against the best attack in the league who would cut 95% of teams apart in that scenario

I think Gary Neville said it in the 1st Half, but there cant be a worse side in the league to go down to 10 men against than City.

I know we will all fume about the lack of fight, but at 2-0 down at half time, did anyone not think "keep it to 4, it'll probably be 5, could be 6"?

Yeah, blaming the ref after a 5:0 drubbing surely will win him many friends among the neutrals. Klopp definitely has to take the blame for some of his decisions today.

That's the problem, but we already knew this. Our squad is the same as last season with added depth in attack and the full-back positions. The spine is exactly the same, so we aren't going to suddenly be more solid.

With 10 men behind the ball we should have been able to limit the damage to 3-0 at most. But we don't have the defensive ability or training to do it.

I thought you might mention Istanbul. Would there have been another leg to that final? No. So, not exactly the same, is it?

Losing to a team we should beat due to Lovren, Moreno or Ming making yet another school boy error gets me het up.

Losing in these circumstances, not so much.

Wouldn't be wise of him to blame the ref.
I think that up until the sending off we looked good (for me we were the better team). The sending off was not something he could predict - shit happens.
And then - he simply does not know how to close shop.
Off course it's his responsibility for not addressing the obvious issues we have in our defence. I hope he addresses them soon enough.
Still, I think this team will give us reasons to be proud.

Lets not sugest that we wen't downhill after half time because it was straight after the red card that the team collectively gave up. They scored another before half time and had one ruled out with nothing more than crosses from wide positions, and we couldn't defend them well enough. Mane wouldn't have been in the middle heading them away would he? Either the cross needs to be cut out by the full back and both full backs consistenly failed to do that or the marking in the middle needs to be better which it never is. Defensively we were awful and it's down to poor defenders and an even worse defensive shape. Hopeless

Why does klopp always admit our defenders are making unnesessary errors and then go on to say they're good enough. It's weird.

I think he's a bit like Rodgers in that he knows we defend badly but he believes that you win games by attacking not defending so its always a secondary consideration for him.

Talking about the decision, no excuse for our performance.

Ok mate you accept capitulation then but I won't and the club and the manager shouldn't either. Teams get players sent off all the time but that doesn't mean you are certain to get beat but if you show the attitude that our players did today then you always will.

What do people think of Matip then? Is he being made to look a shambles by players around him, or is it six of one... ?

Even if mane remained we would have lost with the set up at the back klavan with matip is not hard to break down as they play a distance apart and both don't have pace so a through ball between them means one on one with mignolet .
