I know he is not a sexy signing but I kind of get the feeling he will be good for our club.

Charlie Austin wants to stay in the Premier League
The 25-year-old hitman scored an impressive 18 goals for QPR, despite being relegated back to the Championship last season.
And Liverpool are now interested in a move for Austin, but he is not their first-choice summer target, according to the Sunday on S*n.


The Reds have already agreed a deal with Danny Ings which will see the striker move to Anfield on July 1 but need to agree a fee for the player with Burnley.
Last week, Express Sport revealed new Newcastle boss Steve McClaren had placed Austin on his wanted list but he now faces increased competition.
Chelsea are also in the market for a striker after the departure of Didier Drogba and Jose Mourinho was reportedly impressed with Austin in the matches between the clubs.

I'm surprised at the lack of interest in Austin. He's a bloody good player. Played in many a shite team but ALWAYS scores. In a 9 year career he has scored 216 goals. His stats (which I use only as a guide is about 1 goal in 2) He's only 25 and about to get his England debut.

Why the "No thanks" vibe? I say "yes please" - Who the fuck else do you want? Falcao? Benzama? Tevez?

I suppose we could go for Benteke - He's a year younger he's scored 97 goals in an 8 year career........ Sheeesh!
 
Has looked a decent player to me on the occasions I've seen him BUT is at about the same level as Ings. Another striker signing would need to be a step up from that IMO.
 
With all the English signings, we will be ready for title challenge once the Premier League increases the homegrown quota for the 25 man squad.

He has scored in lower level leagues.

Those stats are misleading.. Whilst I don't doubt he can score a goal.. he is not at the level we need..

Ings and Austin as our striking lineup, is all a bit meh....
 
Haven't seen a huge deal of him, but you can't argue with his record. I was scouring the goal-scoring tables last night and there really is a shortage of strikers who would be available and represent the required level of talent. Other than Tevez, there was no real eye-catching players who I wanted us to sign. Austin looks dangerous in the box, but capable of scoring a variety of goals. The only concern I have with him is, judging by his Youtube video, many of his goals come form crosses from the wider areas and that's not how we play. It would require a period of adaption and work on the training ground.

If we can offload Ballotelli and Borini for £17M and bring in Austin and Ings for £22-23M then it represents decent business. The real question is whether we can shift the Italians off permanently. There is a concerning lack of links in regards to Ballotelli and Borini at present.
 
If we sign fucking Charlie Austin to go alongside fucking Mario fucking Balo-fucking-telli and fucking Fabio fucking Borini and fucking Danny cunting Ings and fucking Rickie fucking Lambert and Divock fucking O-fucking-rigi I swear to fuck im fucking done.
 
Tevez needs to be first choice if there's a remote possibility he's interested. If he's not we need to throw a shitload of cash at him and pray.
 
People have been spoilt by Torres and more so by Suarez. Why would Tevez trade Juve for us unless we offered £200k a week and 4 year contract.
 
We need to round up a a bunch of smart, interesting supermodels and send them around Europe to seduce anyone we're bidding for, while insisting they will only live in Liverpool. It's the only way.

We can also employ girls from different areas to do the same but have them insist on living somewhere else for all the players we want rid of.

The majority of players these days are soft twats, so this would actually work.

Why shouldn't we try? He's strongly tipped to leave Juventus with us, Atletico Madrid and Boca Juniors said to be the only interested parties at this stage.

Ings, Sturridge, Origi is set to be our striking set up next year with room for one more. It's clear that it would be beneficial for that +1 to be of proven quality given that Sturridge is routinely injured and Ings and Origi are largely unproven at this level.
