Charity Game Interviews

Haha. Shite.

I was trying to be a smart arse to dantes too..
This is probably the best possible outcome though, so it's probably a good mistake.

Probably.

Why do we? People are vilified on here for a lot less.

He fucked us over by played like he was mentally elsewhere for the last 6 months he was with us. Glad that he hit the skids performance wise for years.

Least Suarez kept going until he left, after we fucked him over the year before with vague transfer conditions

To he fair - I'd play like I wanted to be somewhere else if Roy Hodgeson was the manager.

FUCK TORRES.

If it had have worked out for him, he'd still be at Chelsea banging in the goals. He's harbouring under some illusion that cos he's at his spiritual home at Atletico that he's away from the controversy of Chelsea. Well it's bollocks. He gave up for a year before leaving, screamed to get a move, went to our biggest rival at the time who he knows we fucking hate, and gave some mewling interviews about how 'we' the supporters would never know the real reasons for his departure.

We do, you're a selfish cunt.

If you'd been good enough, you'd still be playing for those cunts. And then he prays for our supporters to sing his name? Please. What about an apology for making a mistake and leaving us after not trying for 12+ months.

Only gullible football supporters would scoop up that shite.

Torres can get fucked.

"Only gullible supporters".

Anyone's who's watched him can see it's clear as day that he's regretted the move pretty much from day one, people make mistakes. He didn't have to put himself in the firing line yesterday, luckily most of our supporters had the class they're renowned for and gave him the reception that an occasion like yesterday warranted. And yes, I know we made him a star, blah blah, he also got us within a whisker of the title with his goals.

People are seriously rewriting history here. "he didn't try for 12 months". Amazing that, considering that in the 18 months prior to him leaving, he scored 31 fucking goals.

It's better to judge people favorably mate ...

The interesting thing for me, given I've always insisted we were never intending to play Suarez and Torres together is Torres' comments about him and Suarez being together for a few days

Seriously, I wish he had stayed, and hadn't gone to Chelsea, but in 2007 he joined a club that was in the CL final the season before. By 2011 he was playing for Roy Hodgson, master at low expectations

i mean if you are one of the best Footballers in the world, what do you do?

It's time to move on. Our fans showed impeccable grace today. Let's honor that.

And as Torres said himself, we are in a different class to the Chelsea fans. Let's keep it that way.

Best of luck Fernando.

Ah now come on. If we all had to look back and be consistent with every last thread in the past, Ryan would be kicked out of the forum. Before every city game, he says we'll get hammered. It's quite predictable.

What did he say sir?

“We were sitting together for two days at Melwood when I was leaving and he was coming.

Whereas people believe Torres' upset the plan with two days to go in the window by requesting a move, never minds the fact we couldn't have afforded Suarez without a sale

We'd all look stupid. All the more reason old threads should stay the fuck away

But something just didn't feel right about Marks comment this time

It seems like you believed it back then too Mark, so who is re-writing history?

Believed what? That he wasn't playing as well as he was? That's not really the same as saying that while he was scoring 31 goals he wasn't really trying for 12+ months. Everyone can get wound up during a game we're losing and hit out at players, so how's it rewriting history?

Rewriting history would be something akin to making a stupid, outlandish comment about the respective contributions of, say, Coutinho and Lallana.

...And you're back in the room:

What are you talking about - we signed Carrol with the Torres money.
