You're a great technician to come up with that title. Anyway, Celtic are shit, any manager could win everything up there with the advantage they've had over everyone. His true test would be to do something in europe with them, which he hasn't. Leicester might be a good fit though.

Except no manager has done what he's done.

Ha what now?

They've won every domestic trophy on offer since he's been there?

The only black mark was not making the CL group stage this year but that's always a big ask for a Scottish team.

And they have gotten to the knockout stages of the Europa league.

Most illuminating.

Hes done all there is to do at Celtic, he could stay another season and have a tilt at CL qualification, but if that falls short its a long pointless season. I think hed do well at Leicester, it would be a good move for all concerned.

I dont hold any ill will towards him, he came here gave it his best shot and got us as close to the title as anybody in the last 30 years. He doesnt know when to shut up but there are considerably worse qualities for a manager to have. I think hed get a very warm welcome if he came back to Anfield.

I think the team itself is very good...lots of pace in all areas of the pitch and good footballers on the whole. I think he can definitely work with them and I dont actually see them as a major step down as that team is more than capable of competing for top 6. His brand of football is also something their supporters will like.

No Celtic manager before him had the luck not to have to face a full strength Rangers team either. It's not much of an achievement because they literally had no competition. Their transfer budget exceeds that of the rest of the SPL put together !!

Rangers went into administration in 2012 and got demoted to the 3rd division of Scottish football. Rodgers joined Celtic in 2016 the same year Rangers got promoted back into the top division.

He may not have faced a full strength Rangers side but the two previous managers had seasons without any Rangers team in the SPL and still couldnt accomplish what Rodgers did. So to say he had it easier than any other Celtic manager is patently false.

He's done a cracking job at Celtic, Leicester might be a good cll but I think hanging on and waiting for the inevitable Rafa resignation at Newcastle followed by their relegation and sale would be wise.

Rodgers to take Newcastle back to the Premier League in '20/21 and compete properly. Now there's a proper test!

That's actually a good call.

Brendon Rodgers being moooted to replace Puel at Leicester City...

Fans are disgruntled with Puel as Leicester manager which has prompted this move

Is this a Step up or a Step down for the man who's biggest mentor is himself because he had to study and that's been his biggest influence..

It's hard to think Leicester only won the title a few seasons back .

Can you not post about him, years later without resorting to a dig about the guy? Get over it.
