Wow, I haven't seen a team dominate the possession and territory so much since the heyday of Guardiola's Barcelona. Honestly I can't even say it was beautiful, it was more brutal and unstoppable, like an anaconda devouring a rabbit. Arsenal could not get out of not just their half, but their penalty area for long stretches. Bayern took the foot off the pedal somewhat only after the scoreline was 4:0.

That's a statement all right; they surely look like a team to beat this year.

It also put Arsenal back in their place and highlighted why they aren't successful anymore as a title challenger or European powerhouse (not that they ever were the latter). Lee Dixon highlighted it last night, so did Keane. 5 or 6 of the Arsenal players made it look like a training run-out for Bayern, pure laziness. Dixon said himself that he thought the game at the Emirates flattered Arsenal and that they just had a lucky day, whereas on another day they'd have got punished. Well, they just did.
