Based on what? He's hardly ever played there and when he has he's generally looked out of his depth. He doesn't read the game well, he doesn't make intelligent runs, and his all round decision making his woeful. Not to mention the fact that he has all the composure of a startled hare.
Pretty much all of his best work has come when he cuts in from the left.

If memory serves, that's what Ajax mostly had him doing.
Ajax played him on the left of a 3 more often than not

Someone compared him to Pires before. I think it might have been KHL. I'll read it back because I might be wrong, because surely nobody could ever think that.
