I don't rate success as one of wins in the league. I rate success as the number of trophies won.
And recently our record ain't very impressive. Sticking up 5 fingers now just looks pathetic.

If not for a shit economy, and a couple of unprofessional cunts with an unhealthy appetite for risk, we'd have consolidated our position even further, even if we didn't reach the summit.
There's a lot of uncertainty and awful press surrounding the club right now, and morale is at it's nadir, but what is the point of saying "these days we have to rely on history", when that's been the case for a fucking long time now. Did this just occur to you? Opposition fans have been making that point for years. And to act as if there's been nothing to crow about? Perhaps Champions League 2005 posters will shortly look as sadly irrelevant as the treble flag my dad put in my room when I was 2, but at least I have a memory of the former.
