Don't have a clue. The point is that many of our so called top class talents have played in the reserves instead of getting the chance to play in a top league. There is a much bigger chance that the player will get better if you play with and against better players.

Many of our top class talents the last few years would probably been much better now if they had been sold instead of playing for the reserves.

Many of them went on loan, to lower league and to overseas clubs and the majority of them did next to fuck all. Certainly not enough to suggest that selling any of them would have provoked a different result.

We sold them to wrong clubs. When we sell a player and include a clause to buy him back or loan him out then we should only do it to a club with a good organisation that have many coaches with UEFA A or B badges. That is the most important point. Bottom clubs in Spain is a better choice than a championship club for example. The bottom clubs in Spain have a top class organisation in place with many coaches with UEFA A or B badge. They must have that to survive because they don't have enough money.

But picking and choosing who you sell too isn't as easy as picking and choosing who you loan to, so effectively in that sense it's a more difficult structure to make work. And in this case Arn, we're selling to Norwich City.

Having a feeder club or two with a good set up might work, but generally football is that quickly evolving in an economic and practical sense, that any sort of idea of a long term partnership with other clubs is too complicated to implement.

Something that's bothered me about all these fringe youngsters we've brought through or sold over the last few years is how fucking small they all look.

Canos, Branagan, Chirivella, Kent, Teixeira, Randall, even Stewart's light-framed. I'm sure I've omitted a few, and there's probably a few on the flip side that are stronger built, but there's a bit of a trend that we're not developing players who are physcially ready to compete.

I know they're 18 or 19 or whatever, but they all look about fucking 14 and are still meandering through puberty. Don't we work on that with them? Isn't there a physical development program in place to ensure that as well as being technically capable, they're also physically strong enough to withstand playing against bigger bodies?

Loan deals don't work because clubs don't usually show any interest in developing a player for another club.

A suitable buy back clause may be a win win for both clubs and might work out a lot better for the player in the end.

The fee agreed with Norwich is 2,5 mill £ upfront and 2 mill in add ons. Buy-back and sell-on clauses is in there aswell. If he moves there that is a great deal for us, again.

Its like the transfer Twilight zone these days. Its like we know what we're doing..

... for the first time since Peter Robinson.

Good luck to him, any news on what the sell on fee/buy back fee are?

Hope he gets given the chance and shines.
