Things that make me happy:
* Virgil is the best CB in the world - and another performance to a great season
* Fabinho has become a top DM and it's relaxing to have him back there.
* Sadio is on a hot streak, that has been key to keeping us 'afloat' in the title race
* Firmino scored 2 - maybe he can join the party?
* Hendo with another good run out - he can be instrumental in the run in.
* Lallana may no be dead after all

Things that worry me:
* I don't think Salah will score when he's 1 on 1 - not his confidence, just things aren't falling right for him.
* Our FBs are knackered. We miss JoeGo (being able to deputize TAA) & need a LB (with a brain preferably).
* Klopp preferred a barely used Lallana to Shaqiri or Keita - what does it say about them?
* We scored 4 goals, and yet it feels we should have scored 7 or 8

1 point behind City ...

So, I was travelling to the airport and saying goodbye to people after a visit to Norn Iron. How did it all go? Are we happy?

Prior to the match when Klopp said Lallana had been exceptional in training this week it felt a bit like that was a message to those two in particular.

Sort of. Wasteful finishing, dozy thinking at times. But some very solid performances, Lallana the old leader of the press is back, and we won!

Lallana was brilliant today.

Salah needs a goal to go in off his arse and to get out of his own head

Matip was shakey and a big worry

.

We shouldn't ignore the fact Shaq has had a back injury. I don't think he's been snubbed as such. Keita, I felt, just reminded us of what an uneven season he's having - a couple more inexplicably sloppy passes, and some nice close control and fluid movement.

Dyche is utterly delusional:

“It’s one of those isn’t it? We come away to one of the big boys and we’re unlucky with the decisions. Those go our way and we snatch a point. Mané should be off in the first half for his headbutt on Phil. Ashley Barnes got no protection or McNeil. Disappointing.”

Headbutt? What headbutt? I didn't see it, & it's hard to imagine them not making a meal out of any such incident.

TAA was atrocious with his passing. He did get one great ball into the box though. Someone needs to tell him that it’s a bad thing to give the ball away in our own fucking half.
Mo’s not hiding, he’s doing his absolute best. Just needs a goal to go in.
VVD is seriously the best in the world. He’s brilliant.
Hendo did very well when coming on I thought.
Lallana wasn’t all that in possession but did fantastically well without it.
I don’t think locals are that happy with lunch time kickoffs but really happy over here in Japan because it meant a 9pm kickoff and I can go to bed at a normal time for once!

Their thug defender was all over Mane, and when Mane managed to get his balance back and stand upright to go towards the ball, their thug defender’s chin was right in the path of the top of Mane’s head. It wasn’t a head butt and it was funny.

Good stuff from Lallana, because he's a good player who has got it all technically and he'll put in a shift too. Shame his injuries have really hampered his time with us. A couple of seasons ago with him and Gini in midfield, we were able to turn defense into attack quickly.

Mane has been brilliant this season, I'd say more so than Salah, while Bobby also looked alot better today and capped it off with goals too. Fantastic ball from Sturridge for the final goal, it has to be said.

Absolutely. How much time did he take to spot the run and hit the pass? Really impressive.

I'm surprised Klopp hasn't used him more in the withdrawn role, his vision is second to none, even is his workrate is non-existent, it's a useful option later on in games.

Didn't watch any of it, stuck in work, but good 3 points considering the start we made.

Thats such a shitty thing to say as a manager. To suggest an opposing player should be sent off for that. He was never very high in my estimation but that takes the cake.

I would like us to make more of Van Dyke being continually held during corners as well to stop him properly defending them.
It seems to be a tactic deployed by quite a number of teams

I think Dyche should be punished for those sort of comments. Fine - or touchline ban. He's clearly implying bias, and the comment on Mane is disgusting.
