Bob Paisley: This is Your Life

Making an appearance at 4:01, in the light grey suit, is Bob's son Robert, later known as Bob Paisley Jnr.

Some years ago, I used to sit next to him at the place I then worked. He never talked openly about football but would reply when asked. He once told me that the club wasn't especially friendly towards him or the other family members like they had been in the past. He thought it was the changing face of the club and all the money involved. This was around 2004, a few years before Moores sold up to Hicks and Gillett.

Tal, I knew and worked with Bob for many many years at Littlewoods. A quieter more unassuming man you would never find. As you say, very very rarely mentioned his old man or LFC in general unless discussing a match which both had seen.

Newly re-discovered. A quaint memento from an odd TV time...but it does have Billy Liddell in it and several other great stars.

6 leagues titles, 3 league cups, 3 European cups, one UEFA cup, one super cup and 6 charity shields in 9 years. What a man. What a team.

this is your life. Eamonn Andrews, everyone's favorite Irishman, Goosebumps. What a different time. Talking about getting a beating form your Dad. Handhsakes for the lads, kisses for the girls. Amazing to see how things were

Thanks Jesus Jules 🙂

I didn't know this.. Amazing..

Two of Fred Lennon's favourite LFC players were Matt Busby and Albert Stubbins. That's why his son John - also a red - picked Stubbins for the Sgt Pepper album cover and (contrary to manc fans' presumptions) name checks Busby in 'Dig It'. (I'll get me anorak.)
