Blame.

I can't get on board with these Potterisms. I'm sorry, it just ain't me. But anyways, if anyone is Voldemort it's Shelvey.

You know what's to blame? Our own expectations. It's the let down from what we expected or wanted. But the fact that we had the expectation is massive positive.

Also nobheads be nobheads. They need ignoring.

Brilliant analysis from Neville and the one massive thing we lacked yesterday was experience in big pressure situations.

The one player we had with it was Gerrard but his head had gone shown by him being probably the worst for taking pot shots. In the end, we lost our heads and no-one did what they have been doing all season.

Can't blame the team for panicking and we'll be the better for it in future but its a fucking harsh lesson.

When you see those clips of Suarez one v one and not been given the ball its frustrating. Those were the chances. Learn from it and move on is all we can do.

You can also bitch and moan, and say our irrelevant manager didn't have a plan b or a team worth billions shouldn't be playing anti-football or one of our players winning the PFA Player of the year wasn't worth nor should our team have a "BIG NIGHT OUT" after winning 11 games in a roll, y'know. It's not "just" learning from it and moving on. Jeez, some people.

both those boys are spot on - totally agree with Gary Neville - regarding trust of Man City to go and win remaining 3 games, and also which Aston Villa will turn up, and which West Ham will turn up. I wonder if we actually play a patient game we can go and beat Crystal Palace 10-0.

One thing from now on is that whenever we 3/4-0 up with loads of time to play and we take our foot off the gas and settle for it i will whinge, it was slightly annoying anyway.

I've never understood this concept of teams with billionaire backers going light years ahead of everyone else.

Will Chelsea, City or even United spend 200m in the summer? Maybe, perhaps even probably. Will they improve by 200m? Of course not. Their improvements will be minor (in the case of City and Chavs) because they'll be replacing 180m worth of talent with 200m. There's very little improvement they can make.

City will likely finish somewhere between 83 and 86 points this season. Do people really think they're going to finish on 100+ points next season? Bollox they will!! They'll finish somewhere between 80 and 90 points. We could spend 40m this summer and improve far more than both City or Chelsea cause we've got much greater scope for improvement.

Shocking posts in this thread,

1. Aspas is not a division 2 Spanish striker, he left the team when they were division 1 and kept them forth from bottom, Jesus wept lads

2. It's clearly Vlad's fault..

But yes, great comments by Neville on how to get past the bus, we went too direct. We are a tiny team so why cross the ball? Suarez needed service, but he is off the boil lately..

Anyhow, I know BR will learn...

I always think experience is overrated, and its a bit lazy of pundits to throw it out as a reason. It flows from the same narrative that if you attack a team and get beaten you were naive.

It's the same tired cliché ridden bullshitt we're always subjected to.

You'd have to question the value of experience of pressure situations, wouldn't you?

What value was it to Gerrard? Our most experienced player was responsible for the loss.

We may be well behind Citeh and Chavs in terms of spending power, but we can still make some good signings for the money we do have.
Add to that some of our youngsters who will be more experienced next season - some following a loan season and others simply because they will be one year older, and we may improve significantly although spending less that the rich boys.
