Heh, the ultimate kiss of death / jinx has been delivered.

THANKS KHL!

At least I didn't write anything stupid like we'd go unbeaten untill Christmas.

Ha.

Here it is mate:

Reina
Johnson
Carra
Agger
Konchesky
Poulsen
Meireles
Gerrard
Babel
Jova
Torres
[/quote]

You made that up didn't you.

I expect it to be that team but Maxi in for Babel.

Yes. Yes I did.

You're probably right I'd just love to see Babel in there for some odd reason.

In Babel, Jova and Torres we'd at least tell Birmingham not to stand to far away from their own goal. That's probably the paciest trio we've had for some while so why not try and play them all together at once.

Re: Birmingham Away

I have no problem with him either starting there. I'd like to see him get a run on the right, would a Glenjo and Babel combo work?

Maxi will start against United though.

He probably will and I wouldn't mind that.

I don't know whether it'll work on the right however but with both Poulsen and Meireles playing there should be enough cover anyways. Maybe Babel and Johnson will actually be like somekind of sexy dynamic duo from outer space.

Re: Birmingham Away

I just hope we approach the game more positively than we did last season. That match was one of the most dismally negative performances, by both teams, that I've ever seen. They may as well just have agreed to share the points beforehand.

Spot on. We need to take games by the neck away from home as well.

I don't mind us sitting a bit deeper at a place like St. Andrews but only if we've got pace to burn on the counter otherwise it's just plain negative.

That team should be good enough to get 3 points from the match.

Re: Birmingham Away

This fixture last season was the day that finished Rafa. A must win game to have a chance of fourth place and he withdrew Torres. The expression on Stevie's face said it all really.

We had more than enough chances to win though. No doubt Nando would have scored had he stayed on.

Re: Birmingham Away

Reina

Johnson Carra Agger Konchesky

Poulsen Meireles

Maxi Gerrard Jovanovic

Torres

Subs: Jones, Skrtel, Kelly, Lucas, Pacheco, Ngog, Babel.

All eyes on Konchesky.

Comfortable victory IMO.

Re: Birmingham Away

Why we playing on a sunday when we easily could of played saturday, we'll be playing plenty of sundays been in the europa league?

Re: Birmingham Away

I don't think it's a bad thing. Gives our internationals (and we've got more than Birmingham) an extra day of rest/training.

Agreed.

I like playing on a Sunday anyway. The streams are usually better, and I can enjoy the rest of the football on a Saturday and have something to do on a Sunday. No complaints here.

One of the newspapers thinks Konchesky will start with Meireles on the bench due to his exploits for Portugal this past week.

Re: Birmingham Away

Birmingham havnt lost at home in a year. And we havnt beaten them in the league for 7 years.
This has got banana skin all over it.

Monday nights can fuck off though.

Re: Birmingham Away

I can't really enjoy other football until I know that Liverpool have at least got a decent result.

Re: Birmingham Away

Last year I barely watched a single game which didn't involve Liverpool. I was completely disillusioned with the game, mainly because of how miserable and torrid it was to watch us.

This season I'm watching everything going.

^

I want us to play and win every Saturday and have all the others play on Sunday or Monday

Re: Birmingham Away

Anything less than 3 points is unacceptable what with the utd game next week
