Out for six weeks with a broken toe. Couldn't have come at a better time for us. Hopefully will have a negative impact on the bitters. Might not, but we can hope.
[article= http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2539165/Ross-Barkley-eyes-Merseyside-derby-return-month-six-week-injury-lay-fears-allayed.html#ixzz2qNWh3OeB ]Everton and England midfielder Ross Barkley could return sooner than expected from a suspected broken bone in his foot.
The dynamic 20-year-old injured his toe in the FA Cup third round tie against Queens Park Rangers and missed last Saturday’s victory over Norwich amid fears he could be out for six weeks ruling him out of key fixtures against Liverpool, Aston Villa and Tottenham.
However, the club has confirmed the injury was only a fractured toe - not a broken metatarsal - and Barkley has travelled with Everton’s squad for warm-weather training in Tenerife. The early signs are that he could even have a chance of making the Merseyside derby at Anfield on January 28.[/article]
It's set up for a terrific game, just like the reverse fixture. With Suarez and Sturridge in attack, and Sterling and Coutinho attacking their very attack minded full backs. On the flip side, there very attack minded full backs will support there very good wide attacking players against our very average full backs.
an 8 oclock kick off for the derby means it going to be a real barnstorming game. I cant wait. I think i will take a week off work to prepare and recover
