We've improved our handling of aggressive players, but not against this type of niggly, snide team, breaking up momentum & winding up players, it just seems to knock us out of our stride.
Fuck, I knew this - as soon as Gomez took this loose touch I felt something was coming, we were way too casual in restarting the play and you simply can’t do this against the quality of Barcelona.

Nah, mane buries that chance and it’s a different game. Against the best it’s the small margins / chances that matter. We fail to take ours.

Ahh well. Game fucking over.
For me it's that our system of play allows a lot of space through the center on a counter, and while we can ride that our with better CBs this year more often than not, against the best teams, they can score with that space. So then it's down to what we get out of our wide play and forward interplay. It's pretty clever at times, and our forwards are very, very good. But they aren't at this class in terms of finishing.
This result is a pisstake, but there's a reason why we aren't quite there.
