Come on, support the manager through this muddled time. We've got too much negative momentum. the Muppets are out in force. The doubting side of everyone is in the ascendant; who else is appauled by how quickly we're seeing talk about new managers, and how BR should be sacked. It's attrocious.

Rodgers worked wonders last year and has achieved so much so quickly. It's going badly now, for whatever reason, but let's have a show of faith in the manager. Let's show some of the true scouse loyalty.

Remember the way we played last season, the confidence, the tactics, the way he represented the club. It wasn't a one season wonder, it's there to be found again. I'm calling you Dumbledore's army - come join us, and I will consider your oath "fulfilled".

No qualifications, no smarmy remarks, just a 100% backing of the manager till the end of season. Who is with me in a show of loyalty.

Rodgers tactics and game management have always been questionable though.

There's been a lot of selective memory regarding last season, and revisionism about the season before.

I'm in !!

Every great manager in the past had dark days (even Paisley came 5th once). If Brendan comes out of this trough he (and we) will be the stronger for it

I think it's a hard one to back him blindly until the end of the season regardless, what about if we lose the next 10 games straight?
I think he'd get the majorities support, if in the next few games he shows he's learning from his mistakes - first and foremost the defence, and moving/'resting' gerrard. If not, we could spiral out of control.

I will support what's best for the club moving forward.. not the manager. No player or manager is bigger than this club..

If he turns it around by the new year, then great I will be behind him.

But if he continues with these inept tactics.. lack of leadership and more importantly lack of results.. I will find it hard like I am now to be behind him. If it's to be, then it's onto the next manager with an attempt to try and rescue our season as far as I am concerned..

As Rodgers said himself, If you spend 100 million in the transfer market, you should be challenging..

You don't have to have faith to have loyalty. I think he deserves time because of our exploits last season, but we have been completely hapless this season. Also, while he deserves time, FSG would be well within their rights to be at least quietly discussing potential candidates. I really hopes he turns things around and I hope I'm eating a massive piece of humble pie come the end of the season, but I have massive doubts.

If Lucas starts against Ludogorets, he'll get my backing.

What an ultimatum. You are some bore.

You're back a few days after a weeks rest and still ONLY posting about Lucas and Rafa. I'm a fan off both but you're spoiling it for me. Change the record.

We all have doubts. We've voiced our concerns. Rodgers is doing plenty of things wrong but I wouldn't sack him though.

I'm all for backing him to turn it around. But the reasons are clear as day. Poor buys, poor sells, lost confidence, no clue how we set up, loss of movement, lack of fight, clueless defending and a shit goalkeeper. Some if not all of that is down to BR. He's believed his own hype too much and lost his way. not sure him and his backroom staff have what it takes to turn it around, but 5 league defeats already is alarming, and the way we are playing is shit.

You are being hysterical again Jono. 😉 No one is saying Rodgers is bigger than the club.

Rodgers doesn't have a little fan club here. There is no one offering blind faith to him. He did very well last season so people are willing to give him a chance. He's on thin ice with a lot of us though.

I just don't like the idea of sacking the manager. Roy was the only time I thought we really had to. I was on the fence with Rafa. I felt his time was up but I would have kept him if I knew we were getting Hodgson.

It's shows that he at least is trying to rectify the problem in midfield. Call it boring or whatever, but its what needs to be done.
But you know what, keep playing Gerrard in that role or whoever. Hope it works, fingers crossed.

Why do you post like a child? I'm serious. You get in a huff and lash out like a child does. It's hilarious.

I want him to play a DM and I want him to play Gerrard in a different role.

Why do you react to it?
I said play Lucas and I'll back him. That's all.

He didnt. At all Dave.
Read again what he said and your overreaction to it.

Hes also right.
Not playing Lucas is a joke.
I will stick by Mr Rodgers because he has earned it after last year, and I personally dont think you can blame him for losing our two best players in Suarez and Sturridge.
Time is running out with regards to the 100m worth of investment obviously but ultimately 55 goals from last season have gone, Sterling and Coutinho are playing like cunts, players who were dependable last season like Henderson and Skrtel have gone to shit and Lallana aside the whole 100m spend looks a washout, so he has a lot to fret about, but I forgive him all that if he doesnt exacerbate the situation.
Bring Lucas and Kolo in and for the love of god play 2 upfront for a while.

If he doesnt do that then it wont be long till im losing my patience.
Right now he has my support but its notundying. He has to adapt.

I would be appalled to see him sacked. There are concerns and I think he is at the intervention stage regarding GK and the defence, but despite this, I feel he is the man to take this club forward.

Oh yes, he did. That snide little crack beginning "But you know what" is exactly like the annoying little blue-@rse fly of a kid you'll find in every school playground who deliberately sets out to annoy other kids and then howls when he's successful and one of them lamps him.

Agree with most of the rest.

I was talking about the OP from Modo JJ, the one Dave bit at for no reason.
It was a perfectly reasonable post that Dave had a go at and then Modo went all Modo.
You kinda reap what you sow right?

Gotcha but I don't agree about the OP. You'll back the manager if he plays one particular player - who just happens to be one of a small group about whom you've droned on ad nauseam for dog's ages already - and not otherwise? We'll defo have to agree to differ about Dave's reaction to that.

@localny How many losses do you want to give him? It seems he has ran out of ideas without Sturridge and Suarez. Do you think he knows how to stop the rot? If we can get either klopp or de boer i would rather we do it sooner rather than later. Its harsh i know but with the amount of money spent the results should've been far better.

You do know what you constantly miss when you jump to his defense? It's the backlog of snide shite that everyone puts up with on a daily basis from him. It's fine waltzing into a thread and giving it "oh, poor the Modo" (as you often do), however perfectly reasonable you think his post was.

There's a reason people get on his case, because it's not isolated, or innocent, it's repetitive junk engineered to get a rise.

And for the record, I'd play Lucas too, but let's not pretend he's the answer to anything longterm, he was great against Madrid and dire against West Ham, symptomatic of his career really.

Modo has banged on about Rafa for years and years and even moreso this week, and that extends to his signings too. So this shite about how he'd "get his backing" if he played one of Rafa's signings is just more transparent bollocks.

I dont miss anything thank you Mark.
But thanks for worrying about me.

I'm not sure it was Rodgers who performed the miracles last year.
Absolutely. It's a shame that the obvious has become so prevalent. Gutting in fact. I'll watch like I always do and mope when we lose and celebrate when we win. Right now though looking at the clusterfuck of circumstance the club and Rodgers has put us in it's difficult. That said they'll probably spank the Bulgarians and draw me right back in to another round of 'Oh maybe it's not that bad' mindset. It is though... Bad...

I don't need to read it again mate. I didn't over react unless calling someone a bore is deemed an over reaction. I'm one of most level headed poster on here (insert pic of me blowing my own trumpet). Oh I also asked him to 'change the record' unless that is an indication of an over reaction? I certainly don't think it is.

JJ answered perfectly on my behalf so I'll paste in his reply..

Now, I also agree the Lucas should play. I want us to play a DM. I've stated this in this thread and in numerous others. Modo then for no reason reverted to type and posted this crap.

But you know what, keep playing Gerrard in that role or whoever. Hope it works, fingers crossed.

What a childish response, considering I also want Lucas to play as the DM.

Agreed! We sack the manager here then that's about it for us as a club TBH.

Any manager that comes in after we've sacked Hodgson followed by Kenny followed by Rodgers (within months of a title challenge) isn't coming here to see us on top. His first priority will be to protect himself when he gets sacked. Once he's got that safety net underneath him there's no way he'll have the required edge to make the hard decisions needed for a champion team.

We want to look like a club that managers want to work for - not a revolving door for every manager who wants a short term stint while building their bank balance.
