Frankly I'm amazed everyone suddenly believes we deserved to win that match. It could have gone either way at any moment, it was that sort of match. In fact Villa looked the most likely team to grab a last minute winner and it took a bit of luck, not a white shirt, to deliver the ball to our world-class striker, who delivered a rare moment of happiness this season. That aside, it was a piss poor performance from everyone bar Gerrard, Carragher, Agger and Torres.
However it was a great win and we should be happy for now.

Lucas was very good today also IMO, i thought considering the opposition and the conditions and the fact that we were away from home etc etc we played pretty well and apart from a short spell here and there controlled the ball and reduced them to being a glorified Wimbledon... the gola came from a lucky break but fucking hell we are definitely due some.

Did anyone manage to keep track of how many challenges Babel ducked out of after he came on? I counted 3 or 4 in the first five minutes. All a player has to do with him is feint like they're going to make a committed tackle and he does his utmost to get out of the way. I really hope he's gone in January.
