Kuyt got a lot of praise last season when he was putting a few away. It's only right that he should then get criticism when in absolutely dismal run of form. Effort alone isn't good enough - we are judging a player on quality as well.
Lucas puts in 100% every game, yet every time he touches the ball the crowd at Anfield are just waiting for him to fuck up. That's singling someone out. Kuyt is getting stick for being shit and rightly so.

I thought it was a shite performance going forward. Again we relied on the brilliance of Torres to get us the points. That man feeds on scraps for 90minutes each game, and nowadays tries to do too much when he's lucky enough to 'finally' get the ball (after our 20minutes of sideways passing), but he STILL has the composure to slot home a winner like that. Great player.
