ASHES - 2015!

That is indeed unimaginable, and to be thousands of miles away must be making it especially difficult. Thoughts and prayers for the family.

It's a recurrence of something she had, and beat, in her first 12 months apparently. Can you imagine that? Fucking awful.

Aus 19-0, bit of reverse swing for Broad early too. I'd be shocked if there wasn't a breakthrough in the first 10-15 overs.

This is buffet cricket.

Served up on a plate, all you fuckin can eat, put away what you like.

Was going to give you a like for that but don't want to jinx England. But when will they learn, you don't need to over attack Ali, he bowls a long hop every over.

Ha.

Smith was saying earlier in the week is to attack Ali so that Cook has to keep picking the fast bowlers and thus tire them out.

There's attacking him, and then there's shots like that rubbish Warner served up.

They will rack up 500+ by around lunch time tomorrow. Expecting a big score from Smith.

A bit pointless when there are 4 fast bowlers in the side. This tactic only works when a side are a bowler down or they play the extra batsman and have to use a part time bowler. Far more sensible is to milk Ali for runs. 6 wickets in the Ashes so far 19 wickets against the Indians last year his bowling does deserve to be played on its merits.

Obviously Aus dominated and I'm chuffed, but that's as flat and boring a day of cricket as you can get.

You set up wickets like that, and that's what you get in return I suppose. All on whether the Aus attack can make inroads into England's first innings now.

Yeah, with a pitch like that, winning the toss is just massive. It gives you a sniff of a result. England will be tested whether they're just all about trying to attack, or whether they cn hang about for a few days.

Bit pessimistic Brizzle, you may see a Root triple century! I hope we make them bowl and bowl and bowl, not good for Stark's injury

Haha.. I definitely want to see us bat long and well. This pitch won't let anyone take 20 wickets unless they are given away so its a good chance for some of our batters to get a score and build up some confidence. I just hope we don't try to chase what will likely be a 550-600 declaration by attempting to score at 4-5 runs an over and give stupid wickets away.

And don't worry Tony, i have my bubbly ready for a lovely day in The Lying Rag at lords!

English bubbly I hope!
Just had a look at the weather forecast and you may need to have a brolly to stop your drinks being diluted, not all day mind. Monday also has rain around and possible more overs lost. Agree about the over aggressive batting, the Aussies will be setting very attacking fields so there should be plenty of gaps to score in - we deffo don't want or need to push it.

Yep - weather forecast not looking good at all. 🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂
Mate I'm slumming it in Paris for the weekend. @Portly is being a legend and updating me on the score on FB. No wifi but clocking up the cell data! If anything happens drop us text mate. Merci beaucoup fella
