ASHES - 2015!

I'm in Paris and have limited wifi. Good on the Aussies. @Ryan don't be dick. It's not cricket.

Heh, do one.

There was plenty of talk from the English after the first test in this thread, I merely asked why it was so quiet this time around.

Still a bit to go in this one, and if The Lying Rag shines today Cook and Stokes could bat on.

Sublime innings from Smith mind you. Not the best batsman in the world for no reason.

Heh, not quite as busy in this thread for this test.

Wonder why.

Its not over till its over, you still have to take 16 wickets. Look up the Adelaide test 2006, very similar situation in that match, admittedly we don't have Warne!

No you weren't and you know it. You sound like a classless div singing 'you're not singing anymore'..... Wearing a jester hat. No place for that with the cricket lad....

You're not really a div but the jester hat might be true. ;-) anyway roll on today.

Aussies bat again so is Warne berating Clarke for his defensive captaincy is he fuck the agenda driven twat. Big mistake if that rain slows down and doesn't clear early tomorrow as expected.

Props to @Portly - Thanks fella. Your updates were great (If a little depressing!) Next time I'm up in Liverpool the first pint is on me. No idea how tomorrow is going to go. I fear the worst though..... 🙁

Just to be clear RA, and Doctor-Mac while I'm at it, this was my original post:

"It's gone very quiet, wonder why"

To which you took massive affront and was befitting of your rant above, in addition to your earlier claim that itt "just isn't cricket".

Allow me to remind you of the posts that came post the Cardiff-test, which not only did you not deride as "classless" and "not cricket", but you also happened to give some of them a like...

And England win, HAVE THAT YOU FUCKING CUNTS

Ha! Me too. Shame for them to fall from grace so predictably......

Couldn't give a fuck but hopefully they will be in the side for lords

Yep that was pointed out yesterday as well. Problems problems for the Aussies...... He he he 😀

So yeah, fucking do one you pair.

Look - you love dishing it out mate, so suck it up when the boots on the other foot.

Anyways - bit of rain tomorrow morning might lose 20 overs from the day. I reckon Clarke will want 500 at least so if it does rain we will need to bat for 130 ish overs. Big task but Sri Lanka batted for 199 overs and drew the match in 2006 so it can be done. Spirit on Cardiff 2009

Calm down lad. Enjoy the cricket and carry on. I'm hoping to go tomorrow so I'll be keeping a keen eye on today. Should be a good 'un.

Also I hate getting into arguments with Australians (or anyone for that matter) over cricket. It just feels wrong. You know what I mean?

The commentators were all saying 440 which I think would be a record run chase at Lords. They are now on 472 - You can see Clarke's conundrum. The track is flat and conditions are ideal for batting.

The longer they bat the better for me and England! 🙂

So 155 overs to survive - with maybe some to be lost tomorrow if it rains, very very tough but if we do we will be close to that total. See Warne isn't criticizing Clarke's declaration - if that was England he'd be really laying into Cook

Lunch then. Negotiated those last overs well enough. I can feel a collapse coming after the break though with the new ball. Sort that out and get through the day with only a couple of wickets down. Who knows!

England need to learn from this and act quickly if they're going to reclaim the momentum in the next match. They need to sort out the first four batsmen. Lyth can't remain. Ballance is straining the patience. Bell, great though he's been down the years, is on borrowed time. Big decisions ahead.
