Yep. He's far from 'shit', but he does have a few mistakes and uncertainties in him, let's be fair though, we've been blessed with some great rightbacks in our time.

He's definitely worthy of his place in the squad, he's just a steady Eddie though who's quite unspectacular.

For the "fullbacks need to race down the wing, score goals and be fantastic going forward" lot I'm sure he's well off the pace, but for the "provides a good assured balance between defence and attack, while quietly and efficiently going about his job" lot, he's more than a reasonable option.

I think those not cursed the memory powers of a goldfish continue to see him as a top player, who needs quality competition for his place.

You don't play like he has for over 2 months because a lack of competition, you play like that because it's your level and earlier in the season he was in a patch of form. My argument isn't that he isn't decent (because he is, RB is one of the hardest positions to fill in europe IMO), but he isn't a top player, it is that we need a better quality RB as 1st choice. Any sane person can't really argue that.
