Just back from the match, the atmosphere could be better, most of the regular folks do not know most of the songs except the usual anthem. Torres and Alonso got the loudest cheers, Rafa came in a close 3rd.

Shout out to the 7 englishmen behind us, singing their hearts out, with no support whatsoever. We tried some "Xabi Alonso, clap clap clap clap" but they were half-hearted and in between beers.

I was pretty impressed with Nemeth, as with Dirk Kuyt. Pacheco was busy and full of running and seemed to have put on some muscles. I thought Ngog, Babel and Voronin were pretty shit, considering they are our main reserves. Who was the centre back in the first half, he got bundled over a couple of times by the old man of the Singapore team, he is about 37 or something.

Just look at the support we have around the world, truly magnificent. Why Xabi wants to leave all that and a club where he is adored to go to that circus where he'll never be as appreciated is beyond me. He has all the time in the world to enjoy his home country when he retires.
 
Can't wait for the game on the 5th, Lyn - Liverpool. It's going to be excellent.

Just a shame Lyn is fucking horrendously crap though.

Why the hell did they play music and not allow us to sing? Fair enough, not many know all the songs except YNWA and Liverpool Liverpool chant. Xabi was urged to stay, great atmosphere but could be better. The 'kop' stand was packed to the brim.

Voronin scored a soft deflected goal in a slow first half. Second half was better and Kuyt did change the game. Torres missed two sitters, still rusty perhaps. We went bonkers when he scored. Could not see how Nemeth score his two goal mouth scrambles. Reira's goal was beautifully constructed.

Great time, hoarse voice but worth it.

let's not get starry eyed now - there is a reason why he had his detractors, he wen't through some shocking spells - but last year more than anything he managed to establish his true position in the team and now is an integral part of our first XI

If your effort above was typed by anyone bar a Mod on here, it would have got the 'tone it down' retort from a Mod. 100% it would. I've seen Sheik, you, LTW, all of you do it hundreds of times. You can't go round calling people "drooling miongs" cos then you look like a fucking hypocrite.

I read the over-the-top insulting post directed at Rebel without seeing who was the writer and was convinced a certain poster had returned from exile. I was disappointed to discover that it was from Oncy. I prefer the old version.

i don't know why oncy is getting the flak he is getting becuase i've seen a lot worse, it's just a norma 6cm post hwere one poster is angry at another - not sure what lines have apparently been crossed??

Rebel seems to be the victim of a sheep mentality. The afore mentioned exiled poster decided to verbally attack him at every turn therefore other posters think it's "cool" to follow suit.

The lad may lack some social skills however he clearly has some footie knowledge and offers some opinions of his own. The abuse he takes on here is largely unjustified.
